How do you decorate after Christmas? I love to incorporate snowmen, penguins and other Winter décor that can stay up a little longer. Makes our home feel a little less bare once Christmas is packed away... heartsnowman_without_snowheart

About

Creating beautiful wood art with my family!

My business began sixteen years ago with a desire to learn how to cut wood. I had attended a few craft classes and thought it might be fun to teach my own. With a $99 birthday bandsaw purchase, I started cutting wood, teaching craft classes in my home and designing my own patterns. I discovered a passion for woodworking and design I never imagined, and loved watching my craft class attendance grow each month.

When I became a single mom, it was extremely important to me that I find a way to support my family without sacrificing motherhood. I decided to expand my business and began selling my finished products online and at craft shows. It means so much to me that something that started out as a fun hobby has grown into a family business. We bounce ideas around together, paint, manage trade shows, package and ship orders and everything in between. We've all learned to work very hard together and love what we do!

I take a great deal of pride in the quality of my work, making sure each and every item is finished with great care and details that set it apart from other handmade products. Designing is my favorite and I always feel like I have more ideas than time! Taking an idea and turning into something tangible is so satisfying and I love it when things end up looking just like they did in my head.

Thank you so much for supporting our business and keeping us all happy, safe and warm! We love you all!!!

When I'm not covered in sawdust and paint, I love spending time with my kids, especially doing anything that involves being outside and laughing. I love to hike, camp, boat, cook and take lots and lots of pictures. I'd love to move to the beach!

Welcome to Ladybug's Spot!!! I started this little company fifteen years ago to design, create and market my original woodcrafts. I love what I do!!! Anything and everything to do with design, pattern, and color. Enjoy working with paint, fabric, furniture, paper, flowers, beads, glitter, etc. Sort-of like art as a kid, only bigger. And messier. With power tools!!!

There is something immensely satisfying about taking an idea from your head and turning it into something tangible. That it lasts longer than clean dishes is a bonus!!! Hope you'll enjoy my favorites as much as I do.....

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
I take great pride in the quality of my workmanship and never send out anything that doesn't meet my high expectations and do my best to represent each item accurately beforehand. Variations in wood grain, knots, etc. are all an inherent part of the natural beauty and uniqueness of each piece and are not considered defects. If you have specific requests regarding wood grain preferences on made to order items, please be clear about them when placing your order.

I am not responsible for loss or damage caused by USPS or any other package carrier. Items shipped USPS Priority Mail include $50 of insurance coverage. If you wish to purchase additional insurance for higher valued shipments, please let me know when placing your order. If loss or damage should occur, the buyer is responsible for filing a claim with the package carrier to recover their loss.

If you have any problems or questions regarding your order, please let me know. I take equal pride in providing excellent customer service and am happy to work with you on a case by case basis to resolve any issues that may arise. Any necessary return shipments will be done at the buyer's expense and items must be returned in their original new condition.
Payment
We accept Pay-Pal, credit cards and Etsy gift cards. Each item is marked with an approximate production time frame, or already made items have an anticipated processing time. I work very hard to stick to this schedule, but sometimes orders may take a little bit longer or ship earlier. Please let me know at the time you place your order if you have any specific time constraints and I will see what can be done to meet those needs.
Shipping
Shipping is calculated based on weight, size and location. This offers you the best pricing possible for your location. I recommend USPS Priority Mail as it includes tracking and insurance for the most reasonable price, but several options are available at check-out. Please let me know if you have any questions when ordering multiple items or if your shipping rate is coming up unusually high. Etsy takes the packaged size of an item and multiplies that, often resulting in much larger than necessary packaging or multiple shipments and higher costs. I am happy to resolve these issues and refund any shipping overages at the time of shipment.
Additional policies and FAQs
Custom orders are welcome! If you have an idea, or something you'd like to see come to life, I'm always up for the challenge.....
