Creating Tomorrow's Heirlooms Today

Everything you see in my shop begins as a doodle or a dream. It starts with an idea, a character. A character from a wispy winter wonderland, or perhaps a macabre mansion nestled deep within the woods of a forgotten land. A character with long sprawling arms, or short stubby ones, glittering eyes with a charming smile, or a forlorn expression. A character with a backstory. That's what goes into every piece I create. It's not just a passing fancy or a concept on paper, I create entire worlds. I invest in my art because I'm not just making a paper weight that you throw up on your mantel. I specialize in creating tomorrow's heirlooms. Pieces that will give birth to a host of fond childhood memories, and can be passed on from one generation to the next.

I remember decorations like that from my own childhood. Growing up in the arts and crafts movement of the 80's, my family accumulated many ornaments for both Halloween and Christmas. Every Christmas, my mother still hangs her handmade stockings or wreathes from years long since past. Just seeing them conjures sweet memories of hot chocolate, toasting my toes by our gas fireplace, and the anticipation of reindeer on our rooftop. I remember those decorations and that their re-emergence every year marked the beginning of grand celebrations.

This is what I strive to achieve through my art, to create new and wonderful traditions for you and your family.

Each piece you see within my shop is skillfully handcrafted using mixed media. I employ a variety of techniques, from sewing to sculpting, to craft making and hand painting. I work from the ground up, beginning with the planning phase where I sketch the designs and develop the character. I then move on to sourcing materials, creating the base form (either by sewing or sculpting), and then polishing it off with paint or embellishments. All of my items are one of a kind. I do not make the exact same figure twice! This guarantees that you receive something special and uniquely your own, to cherish for years to come.

Care instructions

Dolls and figurines should be handled with great care. These are not toys so please do not let children play with them, they can contain small parts that could pose as a choking hazard to children.

For art dolls, SPOT CLEAN ONLY. Clean fabric bodies and clothing using a mild detergent, warm water with a damp sponge - DO NOT IMMERSE DOLL IN WATER! Lay flat, allow to air dry in a shaded area to prevent sun fading.
