Took the pendant off the lace string and gave it to a younger friend who is homeless.

"This is for a girl", he said, declining it.

"Here." I said, handing it to him again, "When is the last time a girl handmade you a gift?"

"Long time..." he said after a pausing to think.

"Well", I said, "Some girl handmade this and I bought it, so it's a handmade gift for you made by some girl".

He kept it.
