4 out of 5 starsEasy pattern to follow, looks simple and elegant. I found that I needed to adjust the pattern slightly to get rib rows to line up knitting 8 stitches not 6.

Handknit designs ... from the heart
Originally from the UK, and after almost 13 years in Texas, I now live in beautiful Colorado with my husband and two sons. With all the boys in my house, my Etsy store name,
LadyshipDesigns, was born from the idea that, at home at least, I am the Queen of my little realm!
Ever since my Mum taught me to knit and sew when I was about 8 years old, I have loved the creative process and experimenting with design.
My geography and business degrees took me into the world of marketing and corporate business. From industrial paper products to telecoms, cars and software, I never really found my niche.
It wasn't until I became a full time stay at home Mum that I returned to knitting. With my boys in school, a little free time on my hands and not much call for woolly sweaters, hats and scarves in Texas, I decided to take the plunge and start my very own on-line Etsy store. I'd been an avid Etsy browser for some time. I couldn't believe I had my own store and people were looking and buying my stuff. I had found a creative outlet that truly made me fulfilled and allowed me to run my own business!
As I began experimenting with knitting design and especially traditional aran cables, I found pillow covers to be the perfect way to combine my love of design and the textures that can be created with a single strand of yarn.
As my store began to go from strength to strength I couldn't always keep up with demand ... oh to have more than one pair of hands!! So I started formalizing some of my popular designs into patterns to share with my knitting friends around the world!
I have so many ideas for new designs ... watch this space!
