Lagelle

The name "Lagelle" comes from the source of my inspiration - my mother (maiden name: Laguer). My love and appreciation for vintage textiles, styles, and design began when I was a little girl watching this fashionable woman dress with her own style - in her own way. Her confidence and fashion sense made a lasting impression on me. After earning a degree in Fashion Marketing and spending 16 years in the retail/fashion industry, I've had the opportunity to wear many hats and apply my abilities in various ways. I have worked with chain stores such as Lord & Taylor and Anthropologie, to high-end boutiques that feature Dolce & Gabbana and Anna Sui. Unsatisfied by my day-to-day clothing options I began to create my own. Fueled by the encouragement of close friends and especially by the phenomenon of numerous strangers approaching me to ask "where did you get that?", I decided to formally establish my own line of designs through Lagelle. The brand embodies my passion for both fashion and creating. Each hand-made piece is unique - truely one-of-a-kind. The carefully selected embelishments come from my personal collection of vintage fabric, trim, and buttons. The fine artisan yarns not only look rich in color, but feel extra soft on your skin.
