All for the love of wool...

I dye all of my yarn in a kitchen in the mountains of North Idaho. It is all dyed in small individual batches with low impact washfast acid dyes. I enjoy seeing nuance and depth of color in my knitting and many of my skeins (even the solid colors) are dyed with several layers and immersions of dye.
My time in the dye studio is limited by my full time job as a Registered Nurse and frequent excursions into the outdoors. The feel and sheen of wool and the beauty of the natural world around me play a huge inspiration in my dyeing.

I'm Ami and I love all things wool. This love of wool has inspired me to go from the beginning (raising sheep) to the end (knitting) and everywhere in between in the fiber arts. I live in North Idaho and love taking inspiration from nature.

    Additional policies and FAQs
Because each skein of handspun is a work of art, once they are sold they're gone. Also, handspun unlike millspun yarn can contain irregularites. This is not a defect, but instead part of the charm of yarn made completely by hand.

Almost all of my fiber will be one off colors as I dye these when inspiration strikes.
