In January of 2017, my partner opened his store, Weal and Breech, making absolutely stunning wooden BDSM implements out of our house. His works of art are now for sale in many sex stores around Toronto. We have been slowly attending craft and maker fairs around the Greater Toronto Area, and slowly expanded his product line to include kinky and queer key tags, pins, pet tags, and other engraved products, as well as leather and silicone collars.
As business picked up for Weal and Breech, I have slowly taken on all of the engraving and leather work to help with the workload and to help continue the business to grow. We have been slowly trying to expand to more markets, beyond just the BDSM community, so we decided to split the company into two, with the gorgeous wooden implements under Weal and Breech, and the pins, tags, silicone, and leather goods under L'Amour-Propre. I opened L'Amour-Propre on June 7th, 2017.
My partner and I both work full time on Weal and Breech and L'Amour-Propre. Because of L'Amour-Propre, I have been able to quit my job and focus on recovering from a spinal injury. It has given me the ability to support myself and not have to worry about working a job that I cannot physically handle without hard medications.

What items are unable to be returned?
Unfortunately items such as collars are not able to be sterilized after being worn, so we are not accepting returns on them as we cannot verify if they have been worn or not. Especially with COVID, we are taking extra precautions.
We are accepting apparel returns still, only if they are still in their unworn, unwashed condition.
Can you ship to X country?
I definitely can! If your country is not currently listed as having shipping available, send me a message and I will be able to add yours to the list as soon as I find out the shipping costs.
I live close! Can you local pick up/delivery?
Sadly we are not offering local pick up or delivery at the moment. We may open this back up in the future when we have more open availability. If it's a larger wholesale order in Toronto, we may be able to accommodate.
Why do customs cost more?
COLLARS
Even though each of the items we make are made to order, we do generally have the leather pieces cut to the two default sizes, holes punched, and have already been treated with the wax finishing coat. We don't assemble them past that until an order comes through, mostly due to them being easier to store in that state. We also sometimes have a few of our standard sizes already made in our stock we bring to shows.
ENGRAVED PIECES
For the majority of the engraved pieces, we do currently have stock. Any that are ordered that are not in stock, we generally try and create many of them to restock. Custom pieces we only create one of, so it takes more time having to adjust the letter set and sizing on the machine, as well as testing.
Can you rush my order? I need it by X date!
If you need your order by a specific date, please message us before placing your order. If your order requires rush shipping, we will have to change the shipping costs, as well as make sure that the piece(s) can be created in time, pending on stock.
If you do need your order by a specific date, please do let me know when you order as I do not know otherwise an will just ship in the normal time frame.
Is X nickel free?
EARRINGS
Yes! They are nickel free!
COLLARS
Unfortunately no. For the O and D ring collars we can make them nickel free, but it costs extra as we have to use more expensive pieces. Unfortunately we have yet to find a supplier for the heart rings that make affordable nickel free hearts. As soon as we do have the option for them, it will be made available.
