Where do you get your inspiration?

"I'm often asked at art shows, "where do you get your inspiration?". I'm stumped... It's a hard question to answer. To condense inspiration into a few sentences is like squeezing a watermelon into a syringe, but I'll do my best. Inspiration for me comes from music, nature, animals (you could have guessed that, right?), food, and every daily adventure that I experience. I'm inspired by the humor of life and the colors of flowers. I am increasingly interested in animal life and the relationship we have with them, good and bad, and I try to use the animals in my work as a cross reference for human emotion and desire. The colors help to deepen the story and give a sense of play. I have to be honest though, it mostly just feels right to do what I'm doing. Thank you for asking."
