Little Alexandra
I started creating jewelry at the age of 11, at my parents' house. My aunt has had Multiple Sclerosis since 2001 and I wanted to help her. I started making jewelry with small stones and marbles, which my mom had bought me at the dollar store next door. I made small bracelets, which I sold at a cost of 25 cents. I had then collected nearly $ 350 and participated in the walk of hope in St-Hyacinthe, surrounded by my family.
Seeing my interest in jewelry design, my parents enrolled me in jewelry classes (a few evenings and weekends) at a small school specializing in the subject.
This is where I learned the basics (closing rings and making 'loops' with metal) and more advanced techniques. I created unique pieces by working with copper wire. For a teenager at 12-13 years old, I created beautiful rings and pendants! Even today, I look at the photos of these jewels and I am impressed.
However, life took me elsewhere for a while. In 2015, I sold all my equipment that had been accumulating dust in the wardrobe at my parents' house for a few years now. I quit my job and apartment to go solo travel at that time. I was 21 years old and I needed to find out who "Little Alexandra" was. Rome was my home for 3 months, and Southeast Asia for the next 3 months.
A few months after my return, I participated in a yoga retreat in the Eastern Townships, where I created my first bracelet in years.
I immediately fell in love with jewelry creation. I also had a huge crush on the Eastern Townships, the region where I decided to settle 2 years later.
Little Amethyst was born a week or two after this event.
Now we offer semi-precious stone jewelry, handmade at our workshop in the Eastern Townships.
Our mission is to offer durable and high-quality jewelry, designed and created here in Quebec. Our creations are unique and customizable, to reflect the colorful personality of all. All our collections are manufactured with care and meticulousness, to be able to offer an experience for all our customers. In addition, 90% of our suppliers are located in Canada (including 75% in Quebec) since our mission is to encourage local companies.
Our collections are created by Alexandra, then helped by her boyfriend Jérémie for orders. These are designed, created and sent from our small workshop internationally. We are proud to be a 100% authentic Quebec company. In addition, Alexandra and Jérémie offer a golden service to all their customers. That's why they have loyal customers online who go to see them several times in the markets!
