When I became pregnant with my son William in 2013 my husband and I started excitedly preparing for the arrival of our little boy. We got bored very quickly with the selection of cheap, plastic toys on offer, very gender specific and not made to last. With that in mind, I decided to start Laser Cat Design to create the toys and products I WANTED to buy for my son.

I’m an eco-conscious Mummy (yes, Mummy, I’m an Australian-American!). I cloth diaper my son, buy green energy and use reusable bags at the grocery store. I have a Master’s degree in Environmental Management and use that to inform my choices, from the local, sustainably managed hardwood and eco-friendly and baby-safe paints and sealers I use to the recycled wrapping and packing materials that bring my handmade products from my workshop to you!

I blend new technology with old to create timeless, quality pieces that are then finished with the precision and intricacy that can only be achieved with my laser engraving machine.
