Laura Galic Avant-Garde Fashion Design

I am Romanian, born and raised in a town named Iasi. My grandfather from my mother's side was a deluxe tailor and my grandmother from my father's side was self thought in tailoring. I did not study fashion design despite the fact that at a very early age i was sewing almost anything. I decided that i was not going to pursue such a difficult and unsure career. My family had a very difficult financial status and i knew that supporting me in such an education would only burden them even harder. i pursued a math and IT high school followed by an interior/industrial design college degree. While in my first year of masters in industrial design I decided to earn some extra money with an online site which featured a few of the things I made. Things picked up really fast and after about a year since I launched the site I had a waiting list of customers of over 6 months. I decided then to quit the masters, by then I had decided that I did not really enjoy interior design as I had hoped. Since then I dedicated myself fully to my brand. This was about 4 and a half years ago.
The best advice I have to give is to have the courage to get things started. After that everything else falls into place, if it's meant to be. The thing that molds a fashion brand is honesty. If you as a designer are honest with yourself and your creations and never fall victim to copying. One must never compromise by saying 'I will make this because this will definitely sell'. This is the difference between a fashion brand and any local tailoring workshop. Many times the more unique the things are the more they will sell.

-IMPORTANT NOTICE: The order will be processed just as it states in the 'note from buyer' when the order is placed. We will not consider details mentioned in the message threads you carry with us before placing the order. (customers frequently ask for details and place the order after a couple of weeks or months; we cannot be held responsible for remembering all details in all the hundreds of conversations we carry with our customers)
-All items are made to order and can be made to your exact measurements.
-Any item can be made in a different fabric than the one photographed and fabric stocks vary depending on the season.
-For sizes over our standard size 46 we charge an extra processing/fabric cost of around 25% of the total amount of the item ordered.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
  • Items on sale

Returns and exchange details
-when you return something and you are not in the UE, do not include a value because I will have to pay taxes upon receipt. If there is value added to the shipment, we will refuse the delivery.
-if you want to return an item you must do so in maximum 3 days from delivery. this is to prevent customers from wearing the item before sending it back.
-refund will be issued after the item is received and made sure there are no damages. item must be sent back in the original packaging or packed appropriately as to avoid damages whilst shipping.
-for items on stock (ready made, not custom pieces) the refund will consist of the price of the item minus the shipping fee payed when the item was first shipped (30$).
-cancellation refund will be fully issued only if the request is submitted in maximum 5 days from placing the order. if the 5 days pass then the refund will consist of 75% of the total amount.
-if you want to exchange an item the customer will pay for shipping plus a 25% fee (i do not have the jackets on stock so exchanging them means i have to make another one - meaning extra work time and fabric).
- if an item is returned, refund will be issued minus 25% of the amount (work time and fabric used on the item )

-the payment must be made prior shipping

Shipping
Don't forget that all the products are made to order, so please allow 3-4 weeks for production.
Shipping is made via dhl, where this is possible
The item will be shipped after a maximum of 3 weeks (error margin for other orders being processed)
WORLDWIDE shipping should take anywhere from 3 to 5 days, depending on country, customs, weather conditions and diligence of local carrier.
Here is the approximately delivery time for some regions:
Big european cities : 3-4 days,
USA 3-4 days,
Australia : 5-7 days.
During holidays shipping can be longer.
Lost Packages: if the package gets lost we will issue a refund after a complete search is made by the carrier. But note that the search can take up to 3 weeks, to be sure that the shipment has really gotten lost. And only after searching for it we can make a refund.
