I started a tradition of creating gifts for the holidays while in college. Money was tight but I wanted to still be able to give something personal to everyone on my list. What started as simple painted salt dough hearts and snowmen on colored glass ornaments, gradually grew into the beautiful hand-painted glitter snowflake ornaments you see in my shop.

Each year my loved ones continue to look forward to their ornament for the year (I usually do different themes each year) and soon I was getting requests to make ornaments for them to pass onto their family, friends, students, and co-workers.

This is how I came to begin my Etsy shop several years ago - LauraJaenArt.etsy.com. As my non-ornament art grew, that shop began to be overcome by my beautiful landscape paintings inspired by local scenes and the ornaments were not getting their chance to shine. Hence, LauraJaenGifts was born.

Any of the ornaments in my shop can be personalized with a name or year to make a special keepsake. I welcome custom special orders throughout the year and am typically able to accommodate large orders.
