5 out of 5 starsThis is a really good hip pad pattern, I will be making it again. I made mine out of thrifted cotton canvas curtains. I graded the pattern up one more size. I’m unsure how but I ended up with my grommets too close to the edge on the center pad, so my lines of quilting stitches are fairly close together and a bit haphazard. I’ll modify the grommet placement in future. My only misgiving is that the center pad ended up not having the same pear shape as the example, due to the way each size larger is graded, but underneath my walking skirts that’s not noticeable. I can feel that my skirts are more evenly supported over this three-piece pad than my previous one-piece fabric bustle, and now my hips are better rounded, too!

5 out of 5 starsLovely pattern, easy to follow. Came with lots of instructions. Sleeves were a bit too tight for me at the lower arm and needed additional width, other than that great fit!

5 out of 5 starsFairly easy pattern to follow. Had to make a minor change (no grommets available). Works well under my Victorian skirts

Frequently asked questions
How to print and assemble the patterns.
In order to print the patterns you need a printer and the Adobe Acrobat Reader free software. We suggest you to print your size only to avoid the overlapping of other size lines (even tho we take great care to avoid these issues). Once the pattern is printed, cut the excess of the paper and assemble the sheets with tape.
The alignment marks don't match.
If the alignment marks don't match means that probably your printer may have some issues. The original file has alignment marks marked perfectly. In case your printer prints the marks lower or highter we suggest you to professionally print your sewing patterns in your trusted copy shop.
How to align the pages.
Inside each sewing patterns there's an image called "Pattern Sheme". This image will guide you throught the assemblage of each page in order to achieve the full sewing pattern.
Do you have paper patterns?
No at the moment. Maybe in the future I'll be able to hire a company to do so.
Buttonholes, Hooks and eyes position...
Commercial patterns usually don't include the buttons, fasteners, etc, position. As I make a kind of "custom patterns", I always place the right position of them, so it's easier for you to know where clousure goes where and how many fasteners you'd need. I hope this will make the construction easier for you.
