my artistic journey has been a long & windy road with detours via interior decorating, esthetics/makeup artistry, furniture restyling & collecting antiques.  i have always been able to see beauty & purpose in junk and have been repurposing since my childhood. it started with restyling the kleenex box & upholstering mom's noxema jar into a sofa & stool for Barbie. my creations have evolved over the years but I'm true to my ADD diagnosis and have never been able to focus on just one medium or style. My family calls me "jack of all" but i prefer " renaissance gal".  i definitely jump around & experiment but my one consistent factor is a sense of nostalgia.

one thing I know for sure, I truly long for the days of old where simple beauty was appreciated and we cherished & cared for our things instead of just throwing them away.  a time when even a simple sentence was a delicacy for the ears instead of our abbreviated language of today. I often use poetry as my muse and consider my art painted poetry. I especially love the writings of William Wordsworth, Sara Teasdale, Jane Austen and Lucy Maud Montgomery. My secret desire is that the world would revert back to speaking like Lucy's Anne of Green Gables or Jane's Elizabeth Bennett, oh how divine that would be!
