No Restrictions when it comes to "Arts".

Laurel Arts began in 1991 after my husband and I built a small log cabin in the NC Mountains. I named it after the land we live on which is covered with Mountain Laurel. I create so many different things I couldn't just limit it to one so hence the "Arts", in the name. We previously had two supply shops here on Etsy called and, but combined them all into our main shop to make shopping easier for our customers.

I am the creator and hold the patent on the Spirit Songs Wind Chimes, memorial wind chimes created with stoneware clay honoring those we love. I also have the copyright on the personalized Family Tree Wind Chimes, clay leaves with names, dates, and words imprinted on the leaves.

I love spending my creative time designing knit and crochet patterns, specializing in the bulky yarns so full of texture and playful coloring.

In 2014 we started designing, creating and selling silicone molds, opening up a whole other area to our business.

2016 brings woodwork to our list with wonderful hiking/walking sticks and handmade craft supplies.

There are no restrictions so I am sure I will be adding more and more creativity to Laurel Arts.

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
I do my best to post accurate and detailed images of my work and to provide thorough descriptions of size, materials, colors and textures. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please contact me immediately (NLT 7 days after delivery). I request that any returns be made within 14 days of delivery. Returns must be negotiated through private message BEFORE item is shipped back, and return shipping must be insured with tracking. Refunds will be issued through the payment processor that was used on the original purchase, only after I receive the returned item in its original condition and suitable for resale. As the buyer, you would be responsible for all return shipping costs.
If an item is damaged in transit I will require photographic proof of damage before refunding or replacing.
I will not take returns on custom orders as they will not be able to be re-sold. If the order is cancelled during the creation process a cancellation fee will be charged appropriate to the expense and time spent on the order before the cancellation.

I take special care in packaging my products to insure they arrive safely. I will gladly repair and/or replace any defective or damaged item.

My shipping schedule is:

Monday thru Saturday, the courier leaves my shop at 9:00 a.m., so all orders received after that time will ship next business day.
I do my best to ship same day or the next working day on "ready to ship" items and prefer to send items via USPS. In most cases it’s just 4-5 days between purchase and delivery. Custom orders, of course, take longer to process and the time is noted in the listing. We want to get your items to you as quickly as possible and we do our part of creating, packaging and posting. Then it is in the hands of the USPS and they do their part. You are provided a tracking number when posted and can follow your package as it makes its way to you.

US Shipping
All US shipping includes Delivery Confirmation. I ship USPS first class mail to keep your cost down. You may request additional shipping services at your expense. I will ship to your default PayPal and/ or Etsy address only. Please be sure that your address on Etsy is up to date. I cannot be responsible if your address is incorrect or outdated.

If this is a gift and you would like me to send your purchase to a different address, please include your request and the necessary information, including a short message to the recipient, in the comment section when you place your order. The address you want to ship to MUST be included in the checkout "ship to" section.


I have made every effort to ensure the accuracy and completeness of my patterns, however typo error's may sometimes still occur, as well as human error. Please know that if I discover my own error the correction will be made known to you via email. I also welcome notification of any errors that others may find.

Custom and personalized orders

I love creating custom personalized orders. Send me the imprinting details and I will create your custom listing, send you the link so you can purchase. It's that simple. If a custom order is cancelled before shipping, a percentage equivalent to the completion of the order will not be refunded.

Sizing details

I state the sizes of every item in every listing. I also photograph most items on a measuring mat. It is very helpful to look at a ruler as you read the measurements so you can get a real sense of the size since it's often difficult to tell just from photos.

Custom and personalized orders

I have several options of headers, i.e. laurel, driftwood and grapevine wreaths. I reserve the right to choose when availability is an issue.

I reserve the right to cancel any orders with personalization that may be deemed to be insensitive, offensive or of a discriminatory nature.
