About laurelmoon

Kyanite is an amazing stone with lots of character whether primitive style or polished.
-
Prehnite is a beautiful combination of green and black.
-
Herkimer diamonds - quartz crystals, often with double terminated ends - are a beautiful part of many beaded designs.
-
I love finding uncommon, gorgeous semiprecious stone beads like larvikite (Norwegian moonstone).
-
Earthy red brecciated jasper is one of my favorite stones. Red, black, brown and grey, all swirled together.

Owner, Curator, Photography, Shipping
I've been creating jewelry since 1996, and selling beads shortly after that. I fell in love with vintage beads right away! They have such character and history. I love organizing them. :)

Frequently asked questions
Tell me more about returns.
If you have a problem with anything you've purchased from me, please do not hesitate to contact me. I want you to be happy with your purchase.
I accept returns within 14 days of receipt. Buyer must notify me before shipping item(s) back. The item(s) must be in sellable condition in their original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping unless the item(s) are defective.
What happens if my package does not arrive?
First Class domestic packages generally take 3-5 days to arrive at their destination. However, keep in mind that the USPS describes the service as taking 2-10 business days (business days do not include holidays or weekends).
First Class International packages generally take 1-2 weeks to arrive at their destination. However, they sometimes can take up to a month to arrive due to Customs delays, etc.
Your best course of action in any situation where a package has not arrived is to contact your local post office first. I do not consider domestic/international packages "lost" until at least a month has passed.
Please contact me if your package is lost and I will do what I can to rectify the situation.
How are my items packaged for shipping?
I ship things securely. That means that they are shipped in a box along with packing material. I do not ship in padded envelopes unless all of the item(s) involved are metal. Shipping & handling costs cover the box(es), the packing materials, the labels, etc.
I generally ship each day Monday through Saturday, though there are exceptions such as holidays and business trips.
Why do you warn about imperfections and chips and scratches? Are your beads damaged or misdrilled?
I usually buy my beads on strands which I cut and then divide into smaller sets. (If there are any that are obviously misdrilled/broken/damaged, I usually cull those first.)
I can either
a) sell only the most perfectly drilled, unblemished, excellent quality beads and charge a higher price per bead
or
b) sell the groupings as they are and charge a lower price per bead
Some people do want perfection, but some are happy to use beads with some slight imperfections, especially if it means a lower price per bead.
I warn for chips/scratches/imperfections simply because nothing is truly perfect. This is why I try to take pictures of everything when I can. Most of the time "what you see is what you get" unless I am selling in quantity.
Germany - Verpackungsgesetz (LUCID Packaging Register)
In 2019 Germany’s Packaging Act VerpackG came into effect, imposing requirements on online retailers selling to buyers in Germany. The Packaging Act promotes recycling and reuse of packaging materials (e.g. cardboard boxes, tape, and bubble wrap).
My company Laurel Moon is registered at the Packaging Register of the Stiftung Zentrale Stelle Verpackungsregister (Foundation Central Agency Packaging Register – ZSVR) with registration number DE4356986174146. My Dual System Licensing partner for the collection, sorting & recycling of the packaging is ACTIVATE by RECLAY.
As consumer please ensure that all received packaging is disposed of in the right recycling containers, Blue for all paper & cardboard and Yellow for all plastics.
