Our fabrics come from "bolt ends," a fancy way of saying we scavenge fabric from other apparel-makers who have milled more than they need. We are essentially rescuing these textiles from the landfill and giving them new life.

It’s the most beautiful coat I think I have ever seen! The attention to detail is amazing and the maker was such a pleasure to deal with 💕

Thank you so much for this super cute, very well made romper! I love that it's not only well made, but adjustable--there will be much wear from this. Artist/seller is fantastic with communication and shipping!

About

BeyaMade goods are limited edition, sustainably sourced and ethically crafted by refugees in Georgia

I spent most of my career as a designer in the fast fashion industry, but after the birth of my daughter I realized that there was a real problem with the kids apparel market--the clothes were cheaply made overseas, covered in outdated gender stereotypes, and just downright disposable. I had a closet full of cute things that would last a couple of months but didn't hold up well enough to go further than the trash.

LESS DISPOSABLE CLOTHING = HAPPY EARTH

*extended fit children's clothing
All of my designs are created with longevity in mind--rompers are cut generously and are adjustable, dresses are cut so that they can become tunics as your child grows taller. Many children can wear a single size for over a year, throughout seasons.

*sustainability
The most sustainable products are made from materials that already exist. The BeyaMade collection uses what is referred to in the industry as "bolt ends," which means we snap up the overages that other labels have left-over at the end of their seasons. It's a kind of post-manufacturer-pre-consumer model that allows us to essentially turn trash into treasure!

NEW LIFE FOR FABRICS, NEW LIFE FOR PEOPLE

Clarkston, Georgia aka Ellis Island South aka "the most diverse square mile in America" is home to an incredibly rich community of refugees from all over the world. In 2016 I began working with Yaser, a gifted gown-maker who had recently arrived here from Syria. His work is exquisite and I am truly lucky to know him and his amazing family of seven. When you support BeyaMade, you are helping to restore these amazing people to dignity--to make a life for themselves in this new place, and to shine as new Americans.
