I have three different types of PDF's available, so you can choose how you learn:
>> Full Project Tutorials - These contain patterns for a specific flower as well as teach every French Beading Technique required to make them. These are usually longer in length, and extremely detailed with lots of pictures and tips.
>> Flower Patterns - These types contain flower patterns, and may teach a few French Beading techniques, but generally require the reader to already have experience with many of them. These are shorter, but still contain pictures of each piece and walk you through assembly. These patterns are labeled Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced depending on the difficulty and number of techniques used.
>> Technique Tutorials - These types generally do not have any specific flower patterns, but they do teach individual French Beading techniques. These will have lots of step by step pictures and tips.

About

Joyfully Beading and Teaching

About 6 years ago I began the journey of making flowers from seed beads and wire. I learned quickly that I much preferred developing my own patterns and designs. I love the challenge of researching specific flowers and figuring out the perfect combination of techniques to create specific shapes and textures. In the beginning I was only selling my handmade beaded flowers, but in 2014 I expanded my business into the realms of teaching this spectacular art form, and I am really loving it!

I've taught the basics of French Beading on my website - www.laurenscreations.net. So if you would like to try some easier flowers before doing a full dive into the patterns in my Etsy shop, feel free to take a look!

My patterns are well known, and loved, for their thoroughness, the plethora of high quality detailed pictures, and their clear written instructions.

I have three different types of PDF's available, so you can choose how you learn:
- Full Project Tutorials - These contain patterns for a specific flower as well as teach every French Beading Technique required to make them. These are usually longer in length, and extremely detailed with lots of pictures and tips.
- Basic Flower Patterns - These types contain flower patterns, and may teach a few techniques, but generally require the reader to already know many of them. These are shorter, but still contain pictures of each piece and walk you through assembly.
- Technique Tutorials - These types generally do not have any specific flower patterns, but they do teach individual French Beading techniques. These will have lots of step by step pictures and tips.

In August of 2015 I decided to open a separate shop for my PDF Patterns and Tutorials.

Disclaimer: Be very careful starting this hobby. It is highly addictive and may lead to hoarding seed beads and wire and overloading your home - and the homes of all your friends and family - with precious jeweled flowers. By purchasing any of my PDFs you agree that I will not be held liable for any obsessive behaviors that may ensue. :)

A Little History of French Beading:
French Beading is believed to have originated in the early 1500's when French maids gathered the beads leftover from embellishing gowns and strung them on wire. Each petal and leaf is made separately by carefully wrapping the beaded wire using a variety of techniques, then assembling the individual pieces together for a complete flower. Traditionally these flowers were used as Memorial Wreaths (called Immortelles), Altar Decorations, and lavish floral arrangements. Some antique beaded flowers are still in existence today. If made and cared for properly, these flowers are heirlooms that can be handed down for many generations.

Hello everyone! I am a young wife, and mother to two little boys and a brand new baby girl. I love flowers, but have a thumb of death, so I must make them from beads. Though I am quite shy, I have found my passion in beading and teaching.
