My favorite way to wash handmade or delicate items is with Soak Wash, a gentle detergent specially designed for handknits and other handmade items, and I'm so happy to begin carrying it in my shop!

About

Quilts are made to be used.

I started quilting when I was in college, with a huge pile of my high school band t-shirts. It was a monster project, but I was in love. I jumped right from that into making baby quilts for friends, and it wasn't long before I was churning the gifts out and even making a few commissioned quilts.

I believe a quilt is a treasure, but not one meant to be kept out of reach, for eyes only. It's a treasure that's meant to be loved, cuddled, spread on the grass, made into forts, piled haphazardly on the couch. Quilts are made to be used.

Care instructions

Quilts can be machine washed and dried with cold water and on low heat. All other items (bags, pillow covers, key fobs, etc) can be machine washed with cold water, and laid flat or hung to dry. I recommend using Soak Wash to care for handmade textiles—it's a gentle detergent specially formulated for delicate items. It can be used in washing machines or for hand-washing.
