Ok, Leah isn't the name I go by, but it is my middle name and I love it. I just couldn't quite get people to call me Leah and my husband definitely said no to naming our daughter Leah - so, now there's LeahsHeart. And I am happy with it.

I've been a crafter and a sewer for as long as I can remember. I really did start out making Barbie doll clothes. I would make copies of the outfits I liked and make them my own.

Then I moved in with my grandmother. She had a sewing machine... new passion. I loved sewing on that old pedal Singer! And Grandma let me do all the sewing I wanted. I even had my first sewing job making clothes for a little girl for school. Guess I was hooked.

Then I discovered scrap booking and all the stamps and paper and inks and punches and ... that are a part of the scrap booking world. Discovered that was pretty much fun to do, too.

Ooh - I joined a craft book club. That was dangerous. Too many avenues opening up. And believe me, I explored a lot.

So, now I experiment with anything that appeals to me. I love taking fabric that was used for other purposes and finding a new way to use it! I love figuring out how to do something new with fabric - something I've never done before. I love that I never really know how some of my items are going to turn out. This is especially true for my fabric bowls - they seem to have a mind of their own; always a surprise when the item is completed. Face it - I love fabric no matter what!
