Announcement    Hi there and welcome to my shop! I hope you are all doing well and are staying safe.

I know we don't want to think about it(I sure don't!) but Christmas is coming!
enter panic flailing mode

So just a head's up, the holiday delivery deadlines are fast approaching, and due to this pandemic the cut offs are much sooner than previous years. I know, it sucks! It's due to the overflow of parcel mail worldwide and all deliveries are taking longer. So please remember, I have no control over the post office, and I can't make them go faster, no matter how much I want to! Also there are no guarantees for delivery times except with DHL, FedEx and UPS. That's from the postal services themselves.

So here's the nitty-gritty. The cut off times allow for my processing time to make my pieces, which in some cases are 1-2 weeks. Many of my items only take a week to make, but I'm expecting a larger volume of orders this holiday season due to no events this year and everyone is shopping online. If you want to be sure you'll get it in time, just drop me a line and ask if I have a miracle I can pull off for you. Can't hurt to ask!

So for Canada, the cut off to receive orders by regular mail is November 23, Xpresspost December 1, and Priority December 7. There is the option of FedEx and UPS, but I'll need your location to give you a quote as the price differs per region.

USA the cut off to receive orders by USPS 1st Class is November 30, Priority Express December 4th, and DHL December 11. For APO, cutoff is November 23 for 1st Class, and Priority Express November 30th.

For International customers, tracked shipping to Africa, Central and South America the cutoff is November 1st, other international destinations the cutoff is November 9th. DHL International cuttoff is December 7th.

I know, this isn't great news, but it's what things are like right now. So all we can do is take care of each other and stay safe. And remember, if you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact me any time.

How I became a jeweller by fluke!

Allow me to give a short and bizarre story about my start into my jewellery career..

I started out as an art student, but found out about a DEP program in jewellery-making from a roommate who was in the class but hated it. I looked at his projects and said to myself "Hey! I can do that!" 2 years later in 1998 I finished my classes and started working for a wholesale production shop for Hanoush Jewellers for 2 years, then a variety of jewellery repair shops, apprenticed as a wax modelest, then 6 years as the technician and assistant manager of a jewellery store. All the while I was building up my workshop and inventory with a variety of my creations as well as some vintage 1940's designs from Bijoutrie Thibadault who closed in 1998. I was also doing 2 shows a year to get me into practice and test my market.

In 2010 I got fed up of being paid 11$/hour as a trades persons and decided to start working for myself. Lucky for me I had 12 years to build up my workshop enough that I could do everything but the casting from my home based workshop and have some starting inventory! With the help of my husband Steven, I started to sell at more shows, and even opened my Etsy shop!

My passion for creating jewellery, along with having worked 6 days a week in a jewellery store for 6 years, gave me the drive and the energy to do this. I just love it! I am also a member of the Montreal Gem & Mineral club where I offer my time to help others to earn how to create their own pretties with their own stones.

My start in jewellery was a fluke! I was originally an art student, but found out about the jewellery trade school from a roommate. After 2 years of school, and years of experience in wholesale production, jewellery repair, etc, here I am!

Frequently asked questions
Does the items have tracking?

Most of my items don't have tracking unless to the USA, but those that do will have it written on the listing, such as my custom gold jewellery, bracelets and such. But If you order and you decide you want an upgrade, message me and I'll tell you what the difference is and how to send the balance for it. Also please check to be sure if you pick a shipping upgrade it's for your country! Also note the costs are calculated by the postal service.

Do you do custom work? How long does it take?

Yes I do, and usually it's 1-2 months to do depending on the time of the year and if I already have orders on my plate. I do try to keep you up to date on the progress and send photos. So ask away! Also note I don't take custom orders during the holiday season due to work overload!

Wholesale availability

I can offer wholesale orders. Message me with your requests and I'll give you a special code for it!

Sizing details

All my sizings are done using the standard US ring sizes. If you order the wrong size, please let me know. You can send it back, and I'll resize it for you. You'll have to cover the shipping costs back to me and return shipping to you, but I'm more than happy to help!

What are the material used in the jewellery?

All the items I make are made in solid metal, not plated. The sterling silver, or .925 silver as some know it as, is 92.5% fine silver and 7.5% copper which is the classic sterling silver. No rhodium or nickle plating! The antique bronze is the classic bronze that the bronze age was named for. It contains 90% copper and 10% tin. I also offer to make jewellery in stainless steel or gold on special order and are made to order only.

Are there chains included?

Sadly no. The cost of sterling silver and bronze chains would end up raising the price of my jewellery, so in stead I sell them separately on my shop section for chains and engraving.

What is antique bronze? Will it turn my skin? And how do I care for it?

The antique bronze contains 90% copper and 10% tin. The bronze can turn your skin green due to the oxidization caused by the copper to the salt and sweat of your skin, but can be easily rectified with either clear enamel or the classic clear nail polish trick! As for cleaning, use liquid silver cleaner and a jewellers polishing cloth to make it shiny and new again.

How do you ship your jewellery?

I use ChitCats Express for most of my shipping as well as Canada Post, and the prices are based on their prices. They are a courier company that uses USPS, so is cheaper than Canda Post. I rather not use other courier companies like FedEx our UPS because they charge the buyer a brokerage fee on top of duty and that sucks all around! If you would rather use them, let me know and I'll create a custom listing for you.

Will bronze change color?

Because of the copper content in the bronze, it will naturally develop a patina over time. The tarnish, or patina, is caused by a chemical reaction between the various metals in the alloy, and acids or other corrosive materials. Acids in the skin can cause uneven tarnish from contact with your skin. If you want to prevent tarnish, keep your bronze item stored in an area with low humidity and protected from dust and other corrosives and chemicals, like hand cream and house cleaning products. If you are storing the item, make sure it's dry and wrap it in plastic or put it in a plastic bag; the more airtight the better. Bronze can be varnished or lacquered, but this will have to be reapplied over time.

What is the return policy of your shop? What about gold?

For all orders except custom orders, personalized, & made to order items such as my gold jewellery, I will accept returns only as long as I am notified within 5 days of receiving it and is mailed back within 14 days of you receiving it in the same condition received. There will be a 15% restocking fee for all items returned and shipping & shipping upgrades are non refundable. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs and refund will be sent once I've received it back in my hands. But I must contacted first, or it will be considered a forced return, thus voiding the refund option. Also forced returns, such as orders that the customer has refused to pay the duty & fees and are returned to me are non-refundable.
