About

Full Circle

While growing up in Carbon County, PA, I was always drawing with a passion and concentration beyond that of childhood doodling. My dream was to be a professional artist when I was grown. There was no place to study art in the area where I lived; art was not even offered in the schools I attended. I was excited to finally study art formally in college. As a fine art major at the University of Delaware, I took studio courses in painting, drawing and printmaking. I also had my first black and white photography class.

After moving to NYC when I was 20, I continued with photography as my main means of expression. Eventually I attended Parsons School of Design to earn a degree in Photography. It was during this course of study that I discovered the mysteries of digital imaging. I took to it immediately, thrilled with the prospect of creating images by using the computer as my paintbrush.

Since returning to PA, where I have the space for a proper art studio, I began exploring new ways to create. I started by combining my digital prints with traditional art materials. Then I progressed to collage and abstract painting. My journey has come full circle in both my life and my art.

Over the last 23 years, I have participated in well over 200 exhibitions throughout the United States, as well as several other countries, including 17 solo shows. My artwork has been in several museum exhibits including the Bergen Museum in New Jersey and the Attleboro Museum in Massachusetts. I have been privileged to receive 27 awards and my work has been featured in 28 publications including the cover art for two Philadelphia Stories magazines and a book of poems.

It is truly a fulfilling and gratifying experience to have people appreciate and buy my work. I’d like to thank all of my collectors for making my dream come true. I hope that my art continues to inspire and bring joy.
