5 out of 5 starsThis was exactly what I was looking for as I wanted a glass ornament with a gloss finish. It came beautifully packaged. The seller was so kind to add an extra surprise with my order which was also beautiful. I would not hesitate to purchase from her again!

Frequently asked questions
What is an insulator?
Simple put they are used in electrical equipment to support and separate electrical conductors without allowing the current to go through themselves. You would have seen them on telephone/electric (hydro) poles. They are made of glass and ceramic. I am using vintage/antique insulators that are very, very old!
Do the insulators have cracks or chips?
While we work hard to source beautiful and unique glass insulators, some are very old and as such, may have minor imperfections and signs of age. These slight imperfections add to the unique shape and beauty of each piece. If a piece has a minor chip or crack, I will definitely mention that in the description.
How old are these insulators?
I cannot say definitely how old each piece is as I’m not an expert on insulators? I identify the manufacturer of each insulator in the description as a reference for my customers if they want to do some research. One of my suppliers (insulator collector) has said that some pieces are from 1900, 1910, 1920, 1930, 1940.
Can I use a flame tealight in or on these insulators?
Nope! Instead try using LED lights placed around or inside the glass insulator! Or battery operated tealights. I prefer the cool white tealights. Adding lights makes for a beautiful night piece!
Can a flame tealight be used in the tealight holders?
Yes! I inquired with the Envirotex Lite company and who stated they should not catch fire when used properly. However with the higher heat exposure the Epoxy will yellow faster. Mostly noticeable over white and lighter coloured backgrounds.
Remember to always practice proper fire safety when using candles. Burn within site, keep away from flammables and keep away from children and pets.
Care instructions
My products are not dishwasher, oven or microwave safe. They should never be submerged in water. They need to be cleaned by hand. To clean wipe, the resin surface with a damp or dry cloth to remove dust. You may also apply a very small amount of furniture polish to add shine and remove smudges. AVOID abrasive cleaners.
