These are beautifully made, just as pictured. My only reservation is that in the men's size 8, they seem awfully wide at the toes and do not fit my husband quite right. He was very pleased that the ankle is smaller and appropriately sized, but the width at the ball of the foot looks kind of odd. Otherwise pleased with the item

At that period of my life...

At that period of my life I tried to work as a teacher of mathematics. Standing in front of the class, I thought about who am I, why am I here, what can I give to these children other than mathematics, what for do they need mathematics and what for do I need it... Different kinds of philosophical questions came into my head during a lesson...
And then I got a hat as present. Very stylish. It was knitted, striped, a bright square with horns. The first thing I thought was: what a wonderful gift! The second thought was how the idea is ingeniously simple.
Then, apparently, when I've already pulled this hat over my head and looked in the mirror, I suddenly remembered that I know how to knit. Then, noticing the hat suits me, I realized that perhaps I am able to handle such a project. I bought needles, yarn and started knitting.

At the beginning, I've looked like someone who just had enlightened. Since then, I was knitting all the time, everywhere and everything. It was a kind of obsession. Very soon my hobby grew into profession. I started to sell my stuff in designers shops in Israel and the United States. People liked it and bought it. I continued knitting. I was noticed by the publishers of craft books and they offered me to publish a book on knitting. I was really scared to write my first book, I didn't know how to do it and nobody could help me. As a result 6 books were published. All of them are written in English and are available on Internet. There is one thing I can say for sure: I enjoy knitting much more than writing books.

I have a family in Israel, husband and two boys. We live in Givatayim, 10 minutes drive from Tel Aviv and 20 from the Mediterranean Sea.The sun is shinning almost all year round. That's why people here are sunny and open. Mediterranean.

Hi there, my name is Lena Maikon.
By the way, Leninka has two meanings: first is "idler" in some in-crowd Uralian slang, and the second claim to be a serious fashionable youth movement that consonant (and only consonant) with youth movements existed in the socialist period in Russia. If we discard the entire politic, and I was not interested in it back then and now, to become a part of this movement was just a fun. We went hiking, lit bonfires, arranged disco parties in school clubs, draw walls newspapers, went to collect vegetables, sang and made new friends. The name of this movement was Komsomol and the girl in it called Komsomolka. Komsomol sunk into oblivion, and I established my own movement and turned into Leninka.
Leninka has its own ideology: to work with hands, to get pleasure from work, to strive for excellence, to keep a sense of humour while dressing, to delight through designs their owners or just observers. The simple wisdom is just like this. So if you get some of my stuff you automatically take a part of my movement :) Cheers!
Here you will find all kinds of knitted and crocheted stuff, from small accessories to larger objects like clothes, shoes, interior design and home decoration products. All those items have one thing in common: they're all handmade by my original designs. Some items are samples produced in limited quantities; some of them appear in my illustrated knitting books, while some can be custom-made.
I love what I’m doing. I started knitting while I was searching for some kind of therapy that would make me happy, calm and peaceful. I believe that my products will bring you the satisfaction I found while I was making them. It is also reflected in the natural designs and soft, pleasant organic materials.
