I LOVE it! It is so beautiful in person. Such a great Seller, good communication and paying for fast shipping was a good choice of doing. I requested a specific way for the chains and she did it. Very lovely shop,beautiful products and a glorious owner! It was very nice doing bussiness. <3

A princess living a sweet fairy tale! <3

If Annika Simmons’ life had a soundtrack, it would be the steady murmur of a sewing needle gliding through fabric.

“Anyone can love clothes and not love the practice of making clothes,” Simmons said. “But for me, it is what drives me. I have to do it. And I have to do it right. I cannot do something improperly.”

Some of her first memories are of taking scraps from her mother and grandmother’s sewing projects and hand stitching together outfits for her dolls. A beloved childhood gift was a sewing kit from those two women; Simmons still uses it today.

Her work is inspired by Japanese street fashion, fiction writing and the street fashion subgenre Sweet Lolita. As creative and whimsical as her aesthetic, Simmons is quick to admit her need for structure, rules, perfection.

“As for passion and drive, I think that’s something I have in spades and can sometimes be one of the most frustrating aspects about me as a person and designer,” she said. “Where some can be content with something, I find that I’m constantly striving to outdo myself, to push my limits, and create the best thing I’ve ever brought into existence every single time.”

Fashion-making is a habit for Simmons that budded early, yes, and pushed her through high school quickly—she left two years ahead of schedule to study at a branch campus of Bowling Green before coming to CCAD. While in school here she also maintained an Etsy shop and created for several local design staples such as Fashion Week Columbus and HighBall Halloween.

Her plan to live beautifully and indulgently, an expression of which was the driving force of her senior collection, could be accomplished for Simmons in one wish: “I’d rather be sitting at my sewing machine.”

Pop Princess provides a playful line of clothing sprinkled with ribbons, lace, and a dash of kitsch that would melt the heart of any frilly princess proudly wearing it. Pop Princess specializes in creating one of a kind, limited quantities of both garments and accessories sweet enough to give a toothache. Each product is carefully crafted by hand to ensure fine quality and impeccable materials, as well as adding a personal touch of love from me to you.

All sales are final. However, I have the right to make special exceptions under my discretion per case as necessary.

Please read the listings carefully, and do message me if you have questions about the materials, measurements, etc before you purchase. I don't bite!

If you are truly unhappy with your item, please contact me FIRST by message BEFORE leaving feedback and allow me the chance to fix the situation. Sellers are only human, and sometimes their is error either through communication or misunderstanding, and I am more than happy to right that wrong to make you feel satisfied. Please allow me the chance to talk with you first and work out an arrangement, as a customer you deserve to have a happy purchase.

Unless you request to purchase insurance, I will not be held responsible for any lost or damaged parcels unless the error occurred specifically on my end, in which case a refund for the item is available.
Payment
Pay Pal is my preferred method of payment.

Payment is due at the time you place the item in your cart and check out. If a buyer is unable to make the payment, or I don't hear from you in 3 days about making the payment at all then I will have to cancel the order and re-list. I have the right to CANCEL an order before money is exchanged, with a full refund for any reason.

I will reserve the item for 7 days if you message me about it. The longest I will reserve an item is 2 weeks, with a minimal "reservation fee" of $5.00 which will be refunded to you when your reservation expires or the purchase is made.

You must specifically ask for an item to be placed on reserve in a message to the shop, or it will not be reserved for you. (I'm not great at mind reading! ; ) )

If an item is not reserved explicitly or the reservation expires without purchase, and another customer buys the item of interest I will let you know if another item is made similar to the item of interest but otherwise am unable to do anything beyond this.

Unless otherwise stated specifically (i.e. a shop sale) or in agreement of both parties before purchase, prices and shipping fees are non-negotiable.

I'll only be able to ship ONCE a week, usually at the beginning or end of the week! If you should need an item sooner, please let me know straight away and I'll get it out to you!

I ship USPS first class mail, expect items for around 4-10 days inside the US, international 14 days. All packages will be tracked online via confirmation sticker. I'll send you the information via email for tracking.

Additional policies and FAQs
***Custom Orders/Commissions Policy:
I'm happy to do commissions! It's a standard policy that I require a deposit before beginning a custom order---the amount depends on what the commission is (i.e. a full dress vs/ jewelry.) The deposit will be deducted from your final total cost.

If you want a commission from a certain material/fabric, and I have to order it from a supplier, then I will ask that your deposit cover the cost of materials/fabric as well as the shipping. This amount will also be deducted from your final total cost.

Before we begin, I will give you a cost estimate of all fabric and materials up front with a base materials price, labor, and a final total. If agreed upon, we will then go on with the deposit and I will get started on the commission. I will keep in contact with you throughout the whole process, send all receipts, photo updates, etc.

If I can use the patterns I have made previously, then you will only be charged for labor. However, if I have to make a pattern to fit your specific measurements, i.e. larger or smaller than the pattern allots for, then there is an additional charge.

I do keep you updated throughout the whole process with both messages, and photo visuals so you can see the progression throughout the commission.

RESERVATION POLICY:

Are you able to reserve pieces until I can pay full amount?
-I am happy to reserve a piece for you until your pay day, however, I will now only do so if a down payment deposit has been submitted of at least $10-$20 dollars depending on the piece. That reservation deposit is non-refundable to show your commitment as a buyer.

Too often, people will ask me to reserve a piece for them and then change their mind three weeks later which is time lost for actually making the sale to someone else. I will only reserve a piece or 2-3 weeks max, at which time the item must be paid in full.

***A lot of my designs are one of a kind, however, the likelihood is that I can contact my sources and MAY be able to find the yardage again, and make another design just like it just for you. Just ask!

I can also make the design for you, but in a different fabric if you see something you like as well. : ) Or we can make you something completely new from scratch!

3. Do you ship to other countries or only inside the US?
***YES, I do INTERNATIONAL shipping! ^-^ Please message me! Costs vary from country to country.

4. Why do you only do one of a kind pieces/designs?
***For now, Pop Princess is just, well, me. While I would like to make a set amount for each piece, sometimes it is just not possible because a: I do not know if the design will be that popular, b: the fabric yardage may be expensive or difficult to get a hold of, and c: I'm only one girl, I can only sew so fast haha.

5. Do you print your own fabrics?
***Yes! We now do! My talented friend and illustrator in crime, Flor, is our new partner!

6. Do you make all your own patterns?
***Yes, I do! I spend a good amount of time testing them out, drafting them, and making sure they are good to go before doing a final piece!

7. How do you price your items?
***This is a difficult question to explain, the more complicated way involves a crazy amount of Excel spreadsheets which help me input all my cost of materials/shipping/hours of labor/mileage to get supplies or the post office/packaging supplies/shipping containers, etc, etc into one place and help me calculate a base price for an item. I then do taxes, and fit a tiny percent of my pay in there as well.

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of jewelry, for example), if you contact me directly.

Transfers of Personal Information Outside the EU

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.
