Hi,

My name is Prisca, I’m 35 years old and I create jewels for approximately 3 years now. I have specialized myself in mechanical jewels for 1.5 years. Also called the steampunk movement.

I’m Dutch but I grew up in the south of France. Meanwhile, for professionnal reasons, I moved to the East of France, and i’m living in Besançon for 7 years now. And you know what : the Franche-Comté is THE region of watchmaking !! There could not be a better place to find my pieces for making my creations.

I have always been creative. My grandma learned me knitting, hooking ; and my mother is an illustrator and a great seamstress, she realized all the costumes for the dance recitals of my sisters and me. And my father who, as far as I remember, has always been creating objects and artwork from wood and metal.
But because I had an intensive sport carrier, I could not explore this creativity. At the end of,my sportive life i began to develop my qualities.
I finally found my way in combining “mocking” that I held from my parents that I followed on secondhands trades in my childhood and creating jewels with old mock mechanical watches.

Little anecdote :
My passion for watchmaking, and particularly jewels with old mechanical watch movements, started after i received a present from my father for christmas 2014. I was already making fantasy jewels, and for an original present, my father made me a “homemade” necklace with one of his old watches decorated with a gold bird.
And I had a brain wave !!!
