Announcement   The post office recommends Thursday, December 20 as the last day to mail Christmas presents by both First Class mail and Priority. DON'T DELAY! Almost all my knitting is one of a kind (or color) and ships the same or next business day. I love natural fibers because they are eco-friendly, warmer than synthetics and feel so nice. All my knitting is made with the same attention to detail as my blue ribbon winning entries at the Arizona State Fair. Let me help keep you and your loved ones warm this winter.

About

Hand knits made with love and wonderful yarns.

I've been knitting on and off since I was taught at age seven by a family friend. I still have the sock doll I made in Girl Scouts wearing the rosebud skirt my grandmother sewed and the vest I knit for her. That was long, long ago. Since then I have knit a lot of sweaters, hats, scarves, mittens and socks for everyone in my family and also for charity. For about 5 years I did finishing work and knit samples for a local yarn shop until the store closed. I have even been a judge for the kitting at a state fair!

Everything in the shop was hand knit by my own two hands with only the finest eco-friendly, natural fibers: merino, alpaca, wool, even silk and cashmere. My prices takes into consideration the time involved and the complexity of the pattern. I add the actual cost of the yarn to a very low amount for my labor. The yarn in an item costs anywhere from $10 to $40 or more depending on the fiber and amount of yarn used. All things considered, my prices are really very low!

Yes, my home is smoke free and everything is kept in sealed plastic bins.

If there is anything YOU want that you don't see here, just send me a message about what you want and we can plan it together. If you like the design of something but not the color or fiber, (or vice-verse), we can work together to create something you will love.

Returns and exchange details
If you have a problem with a purchase, please let me know immediately and I will see what can be done. Please be aware that colors may look different on different monitors and I try my best to describe yarn colors. No refunds will be made for postage.

On custom orders we will confer many times on what you desire for before I begin knitting because I know how special these are to you. These items are usually not easily sold and often require special orders for yarn, so I am unable to accept returns on custom items.
Payment
I accept payment by all means through Etsy. Items will be mailed upon confirmation of payment and are mailed the same or next business day unless it is a custom order. I NEVER have access to your payment information as it is all handled by Etsy.

If an order is cancelled after the item has shipped, refund will be made upon the undamaged return of the item minus any postage provided it is in the original condition and unworn.

If a custom order is cancelled for any reason, the amount refunded will depend upon the cost of any materials purchased specifically for the project and any work performed.
Shipping
ORDERS WITHIN THE US
All orders (except for pattern books) will ship by tracked First Class Mail but in most cases you have the option to upgrade to Priority Mail. All purchases will be mailed by the next business day after payment unless it is a made to order item. If an order will not fit into one of the mailers I use, I will either split the order or use a clean, recycled box, whichever method is the most economical. I ALWAYS immediately refund any excess postage over $1. Pattern books will be sent by less expensive Media Mail.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
Orders will be shipped by first class mail with tracking. An upgrade to international expedited shipping (Priority Mail) is available. Please contact me for rates.

Orders that are shipped out of the United States will have a declared, actual value and buyer is responsible for any extra taxes or custom tariffs that your country may impose. You should learn about these before you place an order. I will not ship items as "gifts" to attempt to evade these fees. Be aware that customs clearance may cause delays in receiving your shipment. Once a package is given to the post office, I have no control over its time of arrival ESPECIALLY in December.

ALL BUYERS
Buyer is responsible for making sure that the mailing address is correct prior to making the purchase. Please let me know if this is a gift and if you want any message sent with it.

If ordering 2 or more items, they will be shipped together and the postage will depend upon the weight and dimensions of the package. Sometimes it is less expensive AND FASTER to ship them separately by First Class mail. In general, it is impossible to estimate postage for more than one item until I know what items are being mailed. Refunds are made promptly for any over-payment of postage over $1.00. If you have any questions about this before ordering, just ask - or read my reviews.
Additional policies and FAQs
I take extreme care in my knitting and will rip out hours of work if a very visible mistake can't be corrected another way, especially in color work. However, these items are knit by hand, stitch by stitch, not by machine, and therefore it is possible for a small "oops" such as a stray stitch to be purled instead of knit or to be the wrong color in a multicolored knit. This in no way detracts from the beauty and just proves the item is handmade.

Also, please don't forget your feedback. If you have a problem, kindly let me know before posting any feedback so we can work out a solution.

Thank you and come back soon! I try to add new items every week.
