Hysterical Society started after my MFA thesis which focused on the history of hysteria in western society and its depiction in art. How does hysteria manifest itself today and by what names do we call it? How can we call bull shit on shamed behaviors in our society and how can we unpack nature vs. nurture when it comes to why individuals respond the way they do to societal expectations and pressure? How should we act in response?
