This is my 4th pair of terrific earrings from LesThings. I already had these hoops in sterling, and liked them so much that I wanted the gold pair too. These earrings look fantastic with my salt and pepper hair; I asked for the silver to be oxidized, so they’re black with this beautiful color Virginia calls mint green. Virginia is both an exceptional designer and manufacturer. I can’t imagine how she gets her oxidized silver to look the way it does but I love it. I have recently been rewarding myself for doing well with various troubling issues and purchased a pair of quite expensive designer earrings as well as two pair of Virginia’s enameled earrings: I love and value them all equally. Wonderful earrings! I got them in the red color pictured and they really are outstanding. They look great with my large tortoiseshell glasses and grey hair. I’m thinking of ordering another pair with the cream colored enamel. Virginia’s enamel is beautifully done, as is her oxidized silver. Also, Virginia is extremely helpful with colors and sizing - thank you!

I'm Virginia owner, designer and maker of Les Things Jewelry.

I've always been interested in making, transforming, recycling objects or whatever I could get my hands on. The simple idea of creating something new out of raw materials or giving a new life to an apparently worn out object still thrills me.

I guess that's why I decided to become a metalsmith, that and the fact that I grew up in a family that owned a jewelry boutique in my hometown. We didn't have a workshop though so, although familiar with jewelry I had no clue of how those beautiful pieces were made.

I spent three years studing metalsmithing and design, started making my own jewelry since then and learning everyday something new and challenging in my work.

I love simple, clean shapes with special accent on color and textures which show the handmade process on a jewel. If you love it too, maybe you'll find this special item for you or for giving as a gift in my shop ....

Custom and personalized orders

I'm always open to any suggestion or idea you could have to modify an existing model on my shop or to make a different design you have in mind. Don't hesitate to ask, just asking doesn't compromise you in any way.

Sizing details

Since etsy is an international marketplace, my item descriptions always show measurements in both inches and centimetres. I also try to add photos of my designs with a double system rule in order to help you to visualize their measurements.

Again, have you any doubt regarding measurements?

Care instructions

My designs are made to last. Anyway, some care and manteinance is needed:

Matte silver - You can rub it with an eraser, this will remove light oxidation. In case you need to remove severe oxidation I recommend using a silver cleaner in liquid form.

For polished silver you can use any commercial silver cleaner; liquid, cream or cleaning pads.

Brass - All my brass jewelry is lacquered for its conservation. However, depending on the user and several other factors, this lacquer could eventually go away. In this case, you'd need to remove any remainer by rubbing it with alcohol, then rinse with hot water and soap. Once the lacquer is removed you can use a scouring pad for matte brass or any brass cleaner for both, polished or matte brass.
