We pride ourselves on creating perfect toppers made uniquely for you. We are the only shop in the United States to send each and every buyer a customized proof image of their topper prior to us cutting it. This allows for your input – this is why we make the perfect topper!

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

All items are handmade to order. Due to the customization required, we will honor refunds as below:

At the time of purchase, you will pay the amount shown on the item plus shipping and rush fee, if required. Of that amount paid, $20 of it becomes the "design fee" that goes towards drafting, designing, and sending your proof image. Should you or us decide the cancel the transaction for any reason once we have sent a proof image, we will gladly refund the entire purchase price and shipping paid, minus the design fee and any 'additional proof' fees. This fee helps to cover the design time on your item. This $20 design fee is NOT added to the item's amount as a deposit.

Once the proof has been approved and the construction process has started, we cannot honor any refunds due to used materials, painting, etc. In the very rare instance, we reserve the right to cancel an order at anytime.
Payment
We accept payment via Etsy at the time of sale. Methods are credit card and gift card via Etsy, or you may use PayPal for credit card payment.
Shipping
Please, please provide a valid and correct shipping address! Once shipped, we are not responsible if we shipped to the address provided to us and it turns out to be outdated, wrong, or otherwise not valid. You are fully responsible for making sure your address is completely correct on your order at all times.

Shipping will be provided by USPS Priority mail to U.S. addresses and occasionally via FedEx. All shipments will include a tracking number and includes insurance! When using USPS, tracking information may or may not be provided during the transit portion of the journey, however you will see when it was shipped and when it was delivered. This is just how the postal system works.

Items can be shipped via USPS Priority Express and you can select this option at checkout. Extra shipping charges for a shipping upgrade are due before item ship.

If you are an international customer, please be aware that additional shipping time is required (6 to 20 days depending on country) to receive your item. Default shipping is via First Class International Mail. You may upgrade to Priority International Mail for a more quick delivery period. Shipping you pay us covers packaging supplies, and shipping from us to your country's postal system. All customs, duty fees, and taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and will be additional to the shipping you already paid. Failure to pay or collect your item will not result in a refund of the amount you paid to us at time of purchase.
Additional policies and FAQs
All designs require a graphic designer to create your design, which includes customizing the layout to make the name look centered, make the graphic elements flow, and other considerations. We will use the font and general design of the item you have ordered to guide us on your topper. We will supply you with a proof, allow you to make additional requests, and we will send a second proof. Any proofs beyond the first two will incur a $10 fee for each proof, called the 'additional proof' fee. Considerable time and effort is taken to redesign a topper, especially if we are mixing together different visual elements - all while working with 30 customers at one time to create their toppers!

Orders made within 12 days of the event date will incur a $10 rush fee. This must be paid before item will be shipped. The shipping option for Priority Express shipping includes this rush fee. Most customers who order late will want to have express shipping due to time limits. We are not responsible for toppers that arrive late or after your event because a rush fee and express shipping fee was not paid.

Once we receive a custom cake topper order, we will correspond with the buyer via Conversations to collect additional details, such as size, color, and position of visual elements. We will send you a proof image so the buyer may via the design. All proof images are in the color black. If a buyer does not reply to our Conversation message with proof attached seeking buyer's approval within two days, we will assume design is perfect and construct and ship your topper at our option. If you paid for rush shipping for your order, we require an approval within one day of us sending the proof or we will go ahead with production due to the rush nature.

We will try to contact you by Etsy Conversations. If we cannot reach you via the above method, we will create and send the final item to the provided shipping address. If we are without proper information to make your item, we will continue to attempt contacting you. A fee may be withheld for our time tracking down required information that was requested at the time of ordering!

Please open and check your item(s) immediately. You have three days from the date and time of delivery to let us know of damage to the item for us to send you a new item. We will require a picture of both the box and the item.

Please remember that all wood is subject to warping, knots in the wood, and various patterns in the wood grain. These are items we cannot control and each item will be different by nature.
