Found something you LOVE? Please contact me, or feel free to read through the commonly asked questions below.

Answers regarding PAPER, PRINTING TECHNIQUES and COLOR MATCHING are found towards the bottom of this page.

• • • [ HOW DO I BEGIN THE PROCESS? ] • • •
Please send an Etsy Convo or Email to LetterBoxInk [!at] gmail.com with:
- Desired Invitation Style
- Quantity
- Preferred Delivery Date

• • • [ DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM QUANTITY REQUIREMENT? ] • • •
Small quantity orders for smaller and more intimate events are more than welcome, however I cannot accept any single print (1 print) customized orders at this time. I design/illustrate each order from scratch. The amount of time/energy that goes into creating a custom design, setting up machinery, running color tests, and the general process of getting every detail "just right" does not allow for a quick or economical single (1 quantity) print option.

• • • [ CAN I GET A CUSTOM QUOTE? ] • • •
Yes! Please contact me with your desired invitation style and invitation quantity. I will get back to you shortly. I will also happily answer any initial questions you might have at this time.

• • • [ HOW MANY INVITATIONS SHOULD I ORDER? ] • • •
You'll need to mail an invitation to each single guest, each couple (married or not) and each family. A simplified answer is "one invitation per household". If you'll be inviting 100 people, you may require anywhere between 40 to 60 invitation suites, depending on the number of single guests versus large families invited. The best way to finalize your invitation quantity is to start collecting your guest's addresses.

• • • [ WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME? ] • • •
Timing tends to vary from couple to couple. The proofing and customization process can take just 1-2 days, or 1-2+ weeks. This depends on how fast content is submitted, changes requested and approval for print granted. Once a proof has been approved printing generally requires 2-3 days with domestic US shipping another 2-5 days on top of that. If you have any timing/deadline requirements, it's best to contact me directly to discuss.

• • • [ HOW CAN I ORDER SAMPLES? ] • • •
Ordering samples is a quick and easy way to view paper, color and printing options before committing to a custom order of your own. Each listing in my shop offers the ability to order a sample packet filled with previously created prints. If you wish to see multiple invitation styles or specific color combinations, please contact to arrange for a sample packet with more personalized variety.

• • • [ I ORDERED SAMPLES, WHAT'S NEXT? ] • • •
Love the samples? Than it's time to get started on bringing your design to life within a "digital proof". At this point we will discuss:
- Quote for your desired quantity
- Submission of your invitation text
- Your specific customization requests (colors, fonts and phrasing)

• • • [ WHAT IS A DIGITAL PROOF? ] • • •
This will be a digitally generated image of your custom design. Emailed to you in .pdf format.

• • • [ HOW DO I MAKE CHANGES TO A PROOF? ] • • •
You may request changes to the digital proof as needed via email.

NOTE: All revision requests must be made via Email (no revision requests will be accepted over the phone). It is very important that I maintain digital documentation/record of all requests, no matter how big or small the change might be.

• • • [ HOW MANY CHANGES/PROOFS DO I GET? ] • • •
There is no cap on how many proofs/changes you may request, however keep in mind that with each proof the design should become closer to finalized.

• • • [ WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPROVE A DIGITAL PROOF FOR PRINT? ] • • •
When the digital proof looks perfect and no further changes/revisions are desired, you will give your "official approval" to print the entire order. We will print when, and only when, this official O.K. to print has been granted. At this time, final payment will be discussed.

Additional policies and FAQs
• • • [ WHAT PAPERS DO YOU USE? ] • • •

Paper weight / texture depends on the printing method selected (see 'printing method' section below). Your paper color / texture options are highlighted in the individual product listings. I make sure to use only the heaviest possible paper weights for each printing method! The most popular texture / weights / colors are:

- Smooth 130# ... Bright-White -or- Off-White
- Linen 100# ... Bright-White -or- Off-White
- Felt Cotton 220# (for Letterpress only) ... Bright-White -or- Off-White
- Metallic 110# ... Pearl White

NOTE: All of the above papers and textures are lovely in their own way. Preferred paper color / texture generally comes down to personal preference. In the case of any doubt, please request swatches/samples before placing an order.

• • • [ WHAT PRINTING METHODS DO YOU OFFER? ] • • •

Three different printing methods are offered, a little something for every budget! Exact offerings and pricing for each is highlighted in the individual product listings and can fluctuate depending on paper texture desired and/or the number of ink colors used.

FLAT (DIGITAL) PRINTING
--------------
The most economical option, especially for small orders due to the easy set-up. Flat/Digital printing allows you to print as many or few colors as you desire for one flat rate. The ink coverage is flush to the paper (neither indented into the paper, nor raised from the surface). Any ink color / ink color combination can be achieved, with the exception of metallic inks. Papers that can be used: 'Smooth', 'Linen' or 'Metallic'.

LETTERPRESS
--------------
The most expensive option, but the most luxe. This method of printing is a hand crafted process where each ink color is "stamped" in to the paper's surface. Orders printed in this manner will be priced "by color". The more colors desired, the more expensive the order will become. Any ink color, including metallics, can be utilized. Papers that can be used: 'Felt Cotton', for best results.

THERMOGRAPHY
--------------
Slightly more economical than Letterpress, Thermography gives the opposite effect. Where Letterpress stamps the ink in to the paper, Thermography is a heat-based process where the printed ink rises from the paper's surface when processed. The feeling is much like braille to the touch. Orders printed in this manner will be priced "by color". The more colors desired, the more expensive the order will become. Any ink color, including metallic inks, can be utilized. Papers that can be used: 'Smooth', 'Linen', 'Felt Cotton.'

Envelope color choices are highlighted in the individual product listings.

• • • [ WHAT INK COLORS DO YOU OFFER? ] • • •

My most popular ink color choices are highlighted in the individual product listings. These ink colors have been pre-selected to match my envelope inventory.

REQUESTING CUSTOM INK COLORS
--------------
If my pre-selected ink colors do not match your wedding day color scheme, I can mix any color you can dream up.

HOWEVER, in order to achieve the proper custom color, a mailed fabric or paper swatch of the desired hue will be requested. I will only mix custom colors if such a swatch is mailed to me for proper in-studio color matching. I cannot accurately match a color based on a photo or other e-mailed file. Color is not consistent from computer screen to computer screen.

If you are familiar with PANTONE (PMS) COLOR GUIDES. You are welcome to note a desired color by referencing it's "PMS #".
