One lazy Saturday afternoon I was flipping through the pages of a magazine when I stumbled across an article on Etsy. After a few clicks and a quick scan of the front page I decided that opening up a shop was a brilliant idea. At the time I was 17; young and naive. For years my mom and I had been cultivating a collection random arts and craft skills. We had made everything from candles to throw pillows to pinatas. Granted some projects turned out better than others (our pinatas were always completely indestructible). But, at least we were persistent (mom made the complete set of throw pillows despite the fact that she had no idea how to thread the sewing machine). So naturally we were cut out for running our own business. After settling on jewelry as our product, I explained my crazed master plan to mom and, after a few days of begging, she agreed.

Quickly we realized just how naive I had been. While we had a great grasp on jewelry making, that's about where our skill set ended. We didn't know anything about supply sources or marketing or search engine optimization. Or photography, we really didn't know anything about photography. But, after a little bit of time and a lot of practice, we learned. In fact we probably learned more about jewelry, business, and each other than we ever though we would. And over this period of time we slowly began to find a style for the shop. We found out what materials we liked, what direction we wanted to go in, and, well, the rest is history.

Over the years we've amassed a wide array of gemstones, several new techniques (like PMC and metal smithing), and an overflowing collection of vintage lockets and antique silver. Not to mention, we've had a ton of fun. Today our shop is a unique blend of vintage finds and modern techniques which come together to produce the polished products we are thrilled to share with you. ~Lexi
