It all started with a Catalina bathing suit at a thrift store...I was amazed by the construction of the garment - years later I'm still here. I'm fortunate in that I love what I do!
I love and adore antiques and vintage. I appreciate the quality and construction and the history of each item.
I have a unique perspective in that an item has a long and fantastic history even before it is purchased.
It started with the inspiration that led the designer to make a garment. then the designer made a unique interpretation and created the garment. Then the people who figured out how to mass produce such a thing, and market it to the masses.
We cant forget the textile mill that wove the fabric, the people who worked there, the people at the garment mill that made the garment, the individuals who shipped it to a retail location, the person who purchased the garment and wore it....
the state of society around the garment, world events, its all connected you see...and by buying vintage, one is adding to the rich history of it, it has become a societal journal in a way, and one can be a part of it!
So I do try to research the fabrics, the styles, the people that were involved in the making of a seemingly simple garment, it astounds me and fascinates me to no end.
So the garments I acquire are mainly from estate sales, lovingly chosen and scrutinized for their quality and construction. I would never sell something that I would not wear.
Hence: Fine vintage apparel!

I am working on my Anthropology degree and currently hold a Sociology Degree. I'm newly wed and we are ISO a really great house. My full time job is working at a greenhouse (seasonal). the rest of the year I get to do what I love - Etsy!
Some quick information:
- I only offer items that I would wear.
- You will not find armpit stains or any disgusting surprises.
- I hand wash/clean/sterilize pretty much EVERYTHING before I get it through my front door.
- HOWEVER, if you have worn the garment a few times and damaged it, please do not try to return it. It is just embarrassing for both parties, I do not even like saying this, it should be obvious, but it has happened already.
- I am always open to comments, suggestions, critical or otherwise.
- I always give positive feedback unless you ask me not too!
- I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and I live in a very old Victorian home. Sometimes a hair gets in the tape or packaging somehow and I sincerely apologize for this, I cannot do anything about it, I literally clean every day. If you have severe allergies, tell me ahead of time so I can take extra precautions.
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
I do accept money orders, however I require that you contact me first!
I ship within two to three business days usually.
I use the most cost-effective, earth-friendly way to ship that I possibly can! Did you know that 34% of landfill space is paper waste? Ack! So I reuse packing materials, boxes, peanuts, bubble wrap and so on
Refunds and Exchanges
I'm sorry, but I can't afford to do otherwise. I'm a poor college student running an Etsy shop for book money not Piperlime.com. =)
Additional policies and FAQs
Mint: Somebody bought this and left it in the back of their closet with the tags on it till 30+ years later, and I acquired it. Mint means no stains, no color fade, no yellowing, no holes/rips/tears!
Near Mint: Near mint means no stains holes rips or tears, but has been worn once or twice, or I am not positive that the item hasn’t been worn.
Excellent: I use “Excellent” when I cannot find any stains or flaws but the garment has been worn several times, gently. The wear shows a very little bit.
Very Good: Garment might have been worn frequently, but it is in wearable condition without any major or noticeable flaws that will show while wearing the garment.
Fair: There are some noticeable flaws with the item, ie: snags, faint stains, but its still wearable and useful.
Cutter: mostly wearable as it is, but the flaws are numerous however the fabric/buttons/trims are usable for other projects, ie: quilting, ‘upcycling’, disassemble for reconstruction purposes.
I STATE ALL FLAWS THAT I CAN IDENTIFY IN A GARMENT; I am however, only human and occasionally I miss something. Contact me and I’ll do what I can to make it right.
