Announcement   Hand dyed lace, fingering weight sock, and worsted weight yarns and spinning fiber as well as semi-precious stitch markers for one of a kind fiber artistry.

Christmas ordering deadline for stitch markers and keepers is Friday, December 16 for domestic purchases. Unfortunately, I can't give an estimate for travel time for International orders in order to state a deadline. If ordering from outside the US, please keep shipping time in mind.

Price increase scheduled for Jan 1, 2017. All stitch markers and related items will go up approximately 15%.

The pictures of the yarn and fiber are the exact product you will receive; I do not use stock photography for them. *** If a colorway has sold out, please do ask; many can be repeated.

***
The yarn is all locally mill spun. (no angora at this time! Funny, I know.)
Lace -- 2ply superwash merino wool. 600yds/100g

I HIGHLY recommend Dale as a seller. I work at a yarn shop and we commissioned her to make 100 sets of stitch markers every month for about 8 months. She always completed the sets on time and kept in great communication with me. The stitch markers were beautiful and so special. Thank you SO much, Dale!

About

Give a nerd a dye pot....

There's nothing like realizing grad school and a future in academics isn't really where you want to go, especially after spending years getting there.

So, put that brain to work. What are you good at? What do you enjoy? What can you see yourself doing and doing well? Is it realistic? It's got to be better than what you've got (which isn't a whole lot), right?

Use some of those research skills and critical thinking and decide on a plan. Scrape together the rest of the savings and invest it in a proper start.

And start. And then keep it going and growing.

Because no matter how steep the learning curve and no matter how small my little business is within its niche, I love doing this like nothing I've ever done before.

I'm a lapsed academic who grew up with her nose in a book and her feet under a cat. These days, I'm elbow deep in dye pots but the books and the cats are still around.
