Hallo, mein Name ist Rory und ich liebe Fotografie. Ich habe in den letzten 10 Jahren mein ganzes Leben lang beiläufig und ernster fotografiert. Ich habe das Glück, derzeit in einem wunderschönen Teil Großbritanniens zu leben, und ich genieße es, spazieren zu gehen und zu wandern und die interessanten Orte und Menschen zu fotografieren, die ich treffe. Ich reise auch gerne und habe ziemlich viel Zeit damit verbracht, Japan mit meiner Kamera in der Hand zu erkunden.
Ich begann meine Reise in die "ernsthafte" Fotografie, wie es viele tun, mit einer DSLR. Ich ging durch mehrere Modelle, sowohl Canon als auch Nikon, bevor ich von kleineren und leichteren spiegellosen Systemen weggelockt wurde. Im Jahr 2017 beschloss ich, nach einer fast 17-jährigen Pause wieder mit dem Filmaufnahmen zu beginnen, und seitdem habe ich wieder fast ausschließlich analoge Kameras aufgenommen.
Ich fotografiere eine Mischung aus 35mm- und Mittelformatkameras, darunter eine Pentax MX, eine Rollei 35 SE, Rolleicord Vb und Bronica SQ-Ai. Meine Farb- und Schwarz-Weiß-Filme entwickle ich zu Hause und mache jetzt auch Abzüge in meiner Dunkelkammer.
Hi, my name is Rory and I love photography. I've been taking photos my whole life casually and more seriously over the last 10 years. I'm lucky to currently live in a beautiful part of the UK and I enjoy walking and hiking, photographing the interesting places and people that I meet. I also enjoy travelling and I've spent quite a bit of time exploring Japan with my camera in hand.
I started off my journey into 'serious' photography, as many do, with a DSLR. I went through several models, both Canon and Nikon, before being tempted away by smaller and lighter mirrorless systems. In 2017 I decided to start shooting film again after a nearly 17 year gap, and since then I've returned to shooting almost exclusively analogue cameras.
I shoot a mixture of 35mm and medium format cameras, including a Pentax MX, a Rollei 35 SE, Rolleicord Vb and Bronica SQ-Ai. I develop my colour and black and white films at home and now also make prints in my darkroom.
