Lilac Cottage Cards is Born

After working many years in corporate America, I decided to look for a creative outlet. My local stamp store had a beginners stamping class. Thus began my love for paper, inks, stamps and more. I was amazed when I went to my first stamping convention, and the plethora of materials available for card making and scrap-booking. I started making cards and giving them to friends and family who began saying "Why don't you sell these?" I found out about Etsy from customers at craft shows I attended. In 2011, I opened my shop Lilac Cottage Cards. The title came from my love of lilacs (and the color purple) and my vision of a beautiful place in which I could unleash my creativity. While my craft room is not a cottage, I've tried to create a space where I can dream, create and inspire.

Putting colors, inks, embellishments and designs together is such a rewarding process for me. I love what I do and the joy I bring to people when they purchase one of my mixed media pieces, cards, or checkbook covers.

I want your shopping experience with Lilac Cottage Cards to be easy and wonderful. My products are each handmade with loving care and lots of detail. I try to give a full description but please email me if you have any questions about a product. I request full payment on custom order requests. Money and time is expended to create a custom order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
Returns and exchange details
NO REFUNDS ON CUSTOM ORDERS! I send photos and make every attempt to make sure your item is created as you requested. I buy supplies and spend lots of time to make custom orders.

Please email me if you have a problem with your order.. I have tracking included on my checkbook covers, frames and altered notebooks. I cannot control any damage incurred by the USPS during shipping. I make every attempt to wrap my packages to prevent any damage.

I have a 7 day refund policy, on all items that are NOT custom made. Buyer must ship the item back to Seller at your own cost.

Refunds are processed upon receiving the original item, as per PayPal's refund policy - Shipping and handling is non-refundable. If you do not receive an item that has tracking showing delivery please notify me ASAP. A claim can be made with USPS or by contacting your local Post Office. Tracking numbers expire by a certain date according to USPS policies.
I accept credit cards. Etsy gift cards are also excepted.
I make every effort when shipping to protect the packages I mail. I use lots of bubble wrap and packing supplies. Once I ship, I have no control over how the USPS handles the packages. If you have any problems with damage please notify your local Post Office. My items include tracking except on single cards which I try to keep low on shipping costs. Shipping costs include postal charges and shipping supplies such as boxes, tape, labels, envelopes, etc. International customers are responsible for any custom fees. Tracking internationally is not available in most countries - email me if you have any questions.
Additional policies and FAQs
No refunds on custom orders. I send photos of the finished product before shipping to make sure my customer is satisfied with the final product.
