Announcement   One of a kind jewelry made from vintage industrial machine parts which are combined with metalsmith parts and swarovski crystals to create beautiful industrial chic pieces. Each piece of jewelry that I make is not only one-of-a-kind but also very thought out. I try to achieve just the right amount of balance with materials, colors, and textures to make the best possible piece of jewelry that I would also wear myself. My studio is located in the heart of downtown Ferndale, a close suburb of Detroit, MI. I have pieces inside the Detroit Historical Museum and sell my work on etsy and in local stores and galleries as well as on ABC News, Buzzfeed, Yahoo News, US News & World Report, and USA Today.

New Sterling silver earrings I just made! The hooks are hammered and formed by hand and each bead is hung by torching Sterling silver wire until it balls up on each end. It was a tricky process because of you get too close to the bead, it will crack!

About

I create one of a kind jewelry pieces one typewriter at a time.

I have been a professional photographer for over 12 years with a degree in photography from U of M but I was missing doing something hands on. I found a 1950's cash register on freecycle.org and started taking it apart for fun. Inside were these incredible metal pieces and after polishing them up, they just had to be jewelry. I've always had a thing for metal and taking apart vintage machines and working with metal satisfies a part of me. I go through cycles of photo shoots and hours of editing on the computer followed by a week of metal manipulation. I think I've found the perfect balance that keeps me happy.

I get to take things apart and see how they work, design unique, one of a kind pieces, use a blowtorch and power tools, sell and talk with customers at art fairs all summer, and also do fashion photo shoots. My job rocks!
