I started painting three new sets of eyes today :) One pair is already destined for a custom kitty order, the other two will be ready to go when I figure out their yarn combos. Need to get some more colours, I'm loving the glitter look ♡

    About

    Just one Domo...

I grew up watching my Nana Hazel design and knit, and it facinated me. She started to teach me when I was five, with love and patience. Now as I work, I still feel that closeness, even though we are 4000 miles apart. At fifteen, my Great Cousin Audrey taught me how to crochet. So now I had two loves, but no real direction with either. I picked them up every now and again, but it wasn't until I was twenty six and met and married my wonderful husband, that an arrow appeared!

I'd just started crocheting again after moving from England to the US. One day my hubby Ralf said "I bet you could make one of these!" pointing to a Domo (a Japanese TV mascot) on the computer screen. I was a bit doubtful, but said I'd give it a go! It was a bit tricky, but I had loads of fun making it, and as soon as his friend saw it he wanted one too. So I made and sent it, and he sent me the link for Etsy and said I should sell them, "they're that good". I was quite chuffed at this, made a couple and put them on eBay as I wasn't sure about this new site. Finally I had a poke around Etsy and figured I'd give it a go. Unfortunately, within days of my putting the listings up I had them all taken down, as unknown to me, a company had copyright for Domo in the US. As deflating as this was, I picked myself and my crochet hook up, and continued to create: hats, scarves, gloves, coasters and cozies. Finally I had a vision for my original Domo pattern, and he became my super cute Ninja!

Since then I have created many cute and geeky items, from my 3D Sonic Beanie and Minecraft inspired items to my Owl Bags. And the journey continues! I have just started a new range of amigurumi plushes, and am working on patterns to sell so other crafters can make and share my Lovables ♥

I love to create! Everything in the shop is designed and created by me with lots of love. I learnt to knit and crochet around 20 years ago and fell in love with it. Rest assured each and every item is stitched and finished to the highest quality.

My hubby Ralf comes up with some great ideas too and is my constant support and sounding board - I couldn't do it without him ♥
