In 2009, Nicolette Blount opened her Etsy shop to make custom, one of a kind outfits for little girls inspired by her own little daughters. During that time she decided to go back to school for Fashion Design at Academy of Arts University to expand her capabilities as a designer and shop owner. The shop was put on hiatus as school got hectic. Nicolette then went on a detour going back to her first love, musical theatre, and cowrote, co-composed and wrote the lyrics for a musical based on the life of her Chickasaw, starlet, Great Grandma, Wanda Savage. The musical had a debut Broadway concert in NYC last year and is working it's way to Broadway, has 6K followers on social media sites, and released 5 songs to streaming (iTunes, Spotify, etc). Savagethemusical.com. THEN... COVID happened. Nicolette's musical that was in rehearsals for it's first off off Broadway production came to a halt. Nicolette's daughter's horse farm, Full of Grace Farm, had been struggling with big loses from COVID. She wanted to give back and help them during her forced hiatus from theatre. Nicolette partnered with her high school friend, Ruby Grable (who is on the other side of the USA from Nicolette) and reopened the shop making masks for the farm. Nicolette and Ruby also decided to go back to the roots of Lil Lollipops by making one of a kind, limited batches of Children's clothes. Ruby has loved joining the shop, helping with making masks, and using her designing capabilities to make new treats for lil sweets in our shop. Ruby is a great addition to Lil Lollipops Designs and Nicolette is happy she is not doing this alone anymore. Ruby and Nicolette love vintage children's designs.
