5 out of 5 starsthis artist is so eager to please that she has already contacted me about the order i placed only a couple of days ago. she sent me pics of my personalized art in order to get my approval before she put the final touches on it. IT IS PERFECT. actually looks like my mama. she is going to be thrilled on Mothers Day. she is so hard to buy for, and when i saw this "mother" pic, i knew that would be something she would always treasure. thank you, thank you, thank you Ms White

The story behind Wakire Studio.
It seems like I have always loved to create art. In fourth grade it was drawing horses for a school bulletin board. When I was twelve, it was going to oil painting classes with my grandfather. As a high school senior, I enjoyed making a mess in sculpture class. I was always creating in one form or another.
Then something happened. I put down my paintbrush for a while and stopped creating. Life was busy with college courses, then getting married, making a home, and having children. But I didn't make any room for art.
Still, somewhere in the back of my mind, that need to create lived on. When I would see the works of artists (such as Mary Engelbreit, Susan Branch, Becky Kelly, and others) I could feel it stir.
Finally, just before Christmas 2011 I created some art for a dear friend of mine. She loved it and had me make more. She wanted me to paint things I never thought I could paint, but she was constantly motivating me to push the boundaries of what I thought I could do. She encouraged me to open an Etsy shop to sell my pieces. Since then, she has passed on, but the inspiration she gave to me still drives me forward.
I hope that my artwork is a reflection of this inspiration and that you will find a piece of art in my shop that speaks to you!
