5 out of 5 starsI love the Ring very much. I wear it very often and got used to the weight very fast. It is a sturdy Ring - we had to widen it to fit me and it did not break in the process.. which I´m very happy about. ^^ That showes the high quality of the work. I´m very happy with the purchase. But because of the chances I made, it makes my Finger black...^^ That´s the only thing I did not like about it. But Lizz wrote me, that this is not harmful and I should just use a clear coat of acrylic to fix that. Thanks for that great info!
The stone is gorgeous and it sparkles! So cute!
I´d buy again.
Thank you very much! -

Adventurous Jewelry For The People
Hi! I’m Lizz, creator and designer of Lily In Flux, Adventurous Jewelry for The People. I transform stones, fossils, crystals, organic materials, and found objects into wearable art. Although I make each piece in the present, my jewelry more often feels like it’s from the past; ancient artifacts excavated from some sunken treasure ship. Every winter, I travel to the fantastical Tucson Gem Show to hand select the materials in my jewelry. From huge rough crystals to tiny, delicate opals, it’s one of the most magical scavenger hunts you could ever imagine. I love meeting with rock hounds and geologists, and learning about where the stones, artifacts, and crystals came from. The inspiration for design follows, and flows with endless possibilities.
Every piece from Lily In Flux - most of which is one of a kind, or part of a limited edition, and many of which are unisex - is made using several different techniques, including soldering and/or copper electroforming, as well as oxidizing, grinding, and polishing. The result is a distinct, relic-like aesthetic. I think of copper electroforming as a kind of alchemy, a mix of science, art, and a little magic. It is the finicky process of orchestrating copper growth onto a conductive surface using an electrolyte bath and electricity that can take anywhere from 16-48 hours to complete. From start to finish, each piece takes several days to complete.
Since 2009, I have been dedicated to creating and sharing my jewelry with the world. I believe that making something that enhances another person's life, however small a difference it makes, enhances my life and adds to the overall joy in the world. All of my work is uniquely imagined and handcrafted by me in my little home workshop here in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Some history about the artist:
Lizz Godfroy studied all the art forms she could through the open curriculum of College Of The Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine, where she earned a colorful BA in Human Ecology, a global discipline that focuses on the idea that all things are interconnected. Sculpture, painting, photography, improv, multi-media performance art, and installation were among her favorites. After graduation she opened an alternative art gallery in the tourist town, a place where she and other artists coloring outside the lines could sell their work. The space was a fun and inspiring hub for the town, hosting many events and activities, not the least of which were elaborate, fantastical parade floats every year. After 5 years in Maine, she and her family moved the gallery to Covington KY and renovated a historic church into an art gallery and event space. Then, in 2009, the economy tanked, the Covington Art District fell apart, and the gallery closed. Since 2010, Lizz has been a full time artist, traveling around the midwest making and selling art, which is magical and challenging and always an adventure.

I'm grateful that I get to do what I love every day, sip coffee with my love, hunt for raw materials, make art, vend at shows and festivals, all boss lady style. I am drawn to objects with history and energy, and treat each piece like an artifact.

Care instructions
Copper pieces:
-Don’t wear your piece in the shower, while swimming, or while exercising. Salt will oxidize the copper faster.
- Take copper rings off while sanitizing/moisturizing hands.
- Store your copper jewelry in a closed jewelry box or plastic bag if you don't wear it every day.
The pieces are sealed, but after time, some skin discoloration is normal and is not harmful, it all depends on your body chemistry. Every body reacts a little differently. Green discoloration on your skin will wash off with warm, soapy water. Changes in the patina of the copper is normal with regular wear. Personally, my rings stay shiny with regular wear and tarnish slightly when not worn every day.
