Announcement   Welcome! New and exciting things are happening at here! I changed my Etsy shop name from Lily Mairi to better emphasize my work and my brand. Everything is the same just a new name!

PLEASE READ ALL SHOP POLICIES BEFORE MAKING A PURCHASE.

I offer one of a kind woodland, bohemian/tribal, and steampunk inspired hair pieces, head dresses, costumes and jewelry for women, children and men. I also create custom and one of a kind wedding accessories for the bride and her groom, the wedding party and the event itself. I also carry vintage finds and art, created by myself and my 10 year old son, Liam.

All of my flowers, fabrics and beads are handmade or salvaged from vintage clothing or accessories. These are NOT pre-bought flowers glued onto headbands. These are truly one of a kind, hand cut, hand stitched, hand beaded flowers and accessories. I sew my flowers, beads and buttons by hand in my North-Metro Atlanta, Georgia studio. The only time I use adhesives is to attach items that are not able to be sewn, such as clock hands, some metal findings and natural items such as twigs and moss.

My fascinators and head pieces are meant to be worn for ornament only. They are not hair clips in the sense that they hold one's hair in place. They are decoration and add to your costume, wedding attire, photography, however you choose to use my pieces. If you need suggestions as to how to place my pieces in your hair, please visit www.JenniferGriffinStudios.com for a tutorial (link coming soon).

You will find in my items a bit of my favorite genres; steampunk, fairy fantasy, mermaid whimsy, and an ancient Celtic distinction. If there is something specific you'd like to have, I would love to work with you to create your custom piece.

I do ship internationally. Due to recent price increases from the USPS, international shipping rates have dramatically increased. Please message me for combined or express international rates. I am more than happy to combine shipping or send items with express service for international customers.

I do collaboration work with photographers, magazines and other artists. I have been features in Bridal Guide magazine March 2015 issue, Weddings What's What, an online UK magazine, display in Humber Fashion Institute's 60 foot window display, Jewelry Affair Magazine April 2016 issue, various blogs and more. Please contact me if you are interested in working with me.

PLEASE, PLEASE read ALL shop policies before making a purchase. I am not responsible for misunderstandings about returns, refunds, shipping times, lost packages, and the like. All of these are outlined in my Shop Policies and Additional Info sections.

Nearly finished with these lovelies. Hand sculpted shoulder epaulets.
Moss as far as the eye can see! These moss hair clips are one of my best sellers. Beautifully unique, they come in various colors. I am pre-making my most popular flower color, white. So there will be no waiting for these, they will be ready to ship.
Setting up a photo shoot with these lovely butterflies. They are a large version on my 3" clips. These are double the size at a 6" wingspan.

About

How Jennifer Griffin Studios Began

My back ground is in interior design and I have always loved making things, using my hands. I use many different mediums to express myself, canvas painting, clay sculpting, sewing, paper crafting, mix media. I just never thought it was a gift. That is, until I had my children.

I have 4 children. 3 girls and a boy. I started out making things for them as soon as my first child was born, Lily Mairi (pronounced Marie). For my girls I designed hair accessories, costumes and fabric toys. For my son, who loves to wear bow ties and flat caps or ascot caps, I started making bow ties and art out of his "found" things that he loves to collect.

After a few years I started blending my love of vintage and antique finds with the items I was making. The encouragement of friends and family to sell my items got the wheels turning. What did it for me was my children expressing how wonderful they thought my art was. So, I started doing art and craft shows. I now design not just for the children but for mom as well and everyone in between, and Lily Mairi began. Years later I found myself creating in all sorts of mediums and decided that a name change was in order to encompass all I do. Including my art and photography.

Teaching my children to value the things of the past we read literature together. One of our favorite stories is Through the Looking Glass-and What Alice Found There and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Fantasy and whimsy have always influenced me. It shows in my work. Steampunk, Victorian color palettes and a hint of our Celtic roots, myths and all, flavor my pieces. I pour a little bit of my heart, soul and history into everything I create.

You will notice there are more things in my shop besides hair accessories. I bounce back and forth between mediums and even use different mediums on the same piece. You will also notice that some of my pieces have been features in fine art photography. These images are mine and were captured by me. I have a passion for photography, especially surreal and fantasy. Through my website I offer photography services from styling/set design to photo images.

My son, wearing his felt cap, bow tie, button up shirt, cargo short and flip flops, builds the most fabulous art pieces. He once built me a chair out of some over sized wooden building blocks that I could actually sit in. His view of the world inspires me. I have a section in my shop just for his art (with a few pieces of my own). We work together on most of his pieces, excluding his paintings and drawings. I would prefer him to not use the nail gun yet or some of the adhesives required for some of his collage designs. The sale of his art goes into his college fund.

My shop is small and albeit, obscure, but you can be assured you are getting a one of a kind, well made, loved art pieces and unique vintage finds.

I love all things old, vintage and antique. I also love to re-purpose items. There are just too many fabulously historiacal items, fabric, buttons, bits and bobs to not use again. But what I love best are my children. They are my inspiration.

During the process, if you have changed your mind , or unforeseen circumstances arise and you no longer wish to purchase a custom piece, please contact me asap. I can refund your money if I have not (1) purchased any supplies especially for your piece and (2) I have not cut, sewn any fabrics or used any other supplies.
