Announcement   Welcome to my printmaking studio! I live in Canmore, Alberta and my artwork celebrates the unique landscapes, animals and birds of Western Canada.

I am an artist who loves to create using the ancient art form of printmaking. I carve my original linocuts by hand, then hand-pull a limited number of prints from the artwork. Each print, each impression is completely unique!

My little owls are really cute. I'm glad I finally bought them. They arrived well packed and in excellent condition.

About

Linda Cote Studio: handmade fine art linocut prints

I am one of those lucky artists with an art studio separate from where I live. I have a large studio space in the Elk Run district of Canmore, Alberta. We live in a very inspiring place: the Canadian Rockies.

Elk Run in Canmore is the industrial area of town. We have many artist studios within a couple blocks. I share my studio with Barb Fyvie, a local painter, and there are a couple dozen artists working in a variety of mediums: from glass blowing and sculpture to potters, jewelers and photographers. There is always someone creative to talk to and loads of inspiration at our fingertips.

The main body of my work is in the printmaking field. My art practice primarily focuses on relief printmaking, but I also play with monoprinting, letterpress and other forms of printmaking.

To see more about my process, visit my website www.lindacote.ca and check out my YouTube link. There, you will find videos of me creating in my studio, turning a blank piece of paper into a fine art print!

I hope you love learning about this magical way of creating as much as I love showing you the process!

I adore printmaking - the process of carving artwork into a flat surface and making prints from that medium. I also love the messy nature of the inks, and how the final results always surprise me. Each impression is completely unique!

Frequently asked questions

How will my print me delivered to me?

For my fine art limited edition prints, I print on a variety of acid-free papers, and use only archival materials to protect the fine art prints for shipping. My artwork will be lovingly protected with an acid-free board backing and wrapped in acid-free poly envelopes, and shipped to you flat.

Do you sell your artwork in a frame?

I only sell my artwork unframed in order to ensure the safest possible shipping. If you are in my area and wish to see a framed piece of artwork in my studio, please convo me!

I only see one item listed. What if I want more of one item?

Although I usually only list only one available at a time, please know that I can provide you with several multiples, if they are available in the edition. For greeting cards, I may need to print more by hand, which can take a little extra time.

What carrier do you use for shipping?

Orders are shipped through the Canadian Postal Service using the most economical options, typically standard first-class. If you are in a hurry for your order, please contact me before paying so we can discuss alternative shipping methods and I can get you an accurate shipping quote prior to your payment.

When can I expect my order?

Most orders will be shipped within 3 business days of receipt of payment (Monday to Friday). If an order is received on the weekend, the order will ship the following week. Please note that estimated shipping times from my Canmore, Alberta studio are as follows:
>shipping within Canada takes an estimated 4-8 business days
>shipping to the USA takes about 8 business days (or approximately 2 weeks)
>international/overseas shipping can longer to arrive: possibly as long as 2-3 weeks or more.
