Photography is my zen.
Welcome! I've been hooked on photography since I was about 14. My dad built me my own darkroom (remember those?) in our garage when I was in my teens. I practically moved in there! The funny thing is, I'm afraid of the dark. I remember having to psych myself up to go in there and get to work... alone... in the dark. But I did it!
It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what might catch my eye when I'm out with my camera. I love it all, from art deco buildings or a vintage sign, to the details carved into a Victorian planter, or the magic of Edinburgh and beauty of Scotland. My wife was born and raised in Edinburgh, and I'm lucky enough to get to spend a few months of each year there visiting family. Jet likes to joke that she rarely sees my face when we're there because there's always a camera in front of it. Scotland -- Edinburgh, in particular -- is an endless source of magical and mysterious nooks and crannies just waiting to be discovered!
Home is Los Angeles, California, keep an eye on my site, I plan on venturing out more here at home and adding some urban photography to Linda C Photography. Isn't it funny how we can be blind to the most interesting subjects and places right in our own backyards?
I've always been drawn to things of the past. I love imagining the lives they've touched, the history they've witnessed. I hope my photos of vintage this-and-that capture your imagination too. A well-used typewriter, dusty old books, a tired theatre marquee, a weathered door pull, art deco diner stools, a rusty old Ford, vintage toys, or a classic bike, it's paint peeling from years in the sun... each and every one has a story to tell.
The world disappears when I'm out with my camera, or sitting in front of the computer editing my shots. I'm addicted. I hope you enjoy my work. I certainly enjoy creating it.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, I feel very lucky to spend time every year in magical, beautiful Scotland, where my very Scottish wife hails from. If it catches my eye, I click away. I love seeing the world from different angles.
I hope you enjoy my work, and please come back and visit often.
You might notice I offer my customers a choice of styles with some of my prints. For example, there are two choices listed for my shots of Victoria Street in Edinburgh's Old Town; one for the purists among us, and one with some filters added for a more dream-like effect. Photography is subjective-- sometimes I just can't decide which version of a photo to list, so I offer my favorite edits and let you make your own decisions! If you see a photo you like, but have an idea of a different "mood" or filter you'd like to see, by all means, contact me. I'd love to give it a shot!
Thank you again for visiting Linda C Photography.
