Hand Painted Miniatures and Adornments

How lucky am I to be able to do something that I love and share it with others! I ventured into the world of art at the tender age of three when I gave my Grandmother's kitchen and dining room walls a makeover with magenta crayon and outlined one of the seat cushions of my Mom's white damask couch in blue ballpoint pen. While my art and decorating skills back then did not receive the reviews I was hoping for, I can honestly say that my recent work has received a wee bit more enthusiasm! I have been painting for the past 30+ years and my work has ranged from "normal size" canvases, to wall murals, to large-scale theatrical backdrops.
This wonderful little niche all started when I had purchased a vintage brooch at a antique shop and the glass cabochon fell out. I sat looking at it and thought that it would be a great setting for a little painting. I went out and bought a lighted magnifier, precision paintbrushes and acid-free canvas paper. Three hours later, my first piece was born and this unique skill was on its way! My friends and family loved it and I decided to take the plunge to launch a website and then get on Etsy for greater exposure.
This is my "happy place" and what I do when not working in operations for a manufacturing company--where the closest I come to art is pink or yellow highlighter. My hand painted miniatures are a way of bringing art into your everyday life. Enjoy!
