An Unusual Place for Unusual Things
The Geek Group National Science Center is a place for people to learn, explore and play with science and technology. As part of our operations, we make cool stuff and share it with the world.
We believe that art exists in everything, and that heavy industrial machinery can make some pretty cool stuff. Our product line is constantly evolving and we are always open to new ideas if you see something and get inspired.
We use CNC machinery, laser cutters, sublimation printers and woodworking tools to make all kinds of exciting things. All proceeds from sales go directly to The Geek Group, a 501(c)3 non-profit based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalised orders
We can customize orders. Please contact us with your specific idea, and we can give you a quote and estimate. Some items are easier than others.
All of our wood items have been lacquered. They are not "water proof" but they will be able to be gently cleaned with a damp cloth. If your wood item is exposed to a lot of sunlight, it will change colour - it will not damage it. Light wood tends to get darker, and darker wood lighter. Red woods will get brown. This is a natural process and can be avoided by not placing it in direct sunlight, or it can be embraced.
Gift wrapping and packaging
We do not gift wrap but if you request in the order note that it is a gift, we will not include an invoice. We can, upon request, include a short note for the recipient.
Almost everything we make is available wholesale, and can be branded with your company or ours. We'd love to work with you. We do wholesale options up to several thousand pieces, and the turnaround varies wildly depending on quantity and item.
