I am on a fixed income. But for years, I have wanted a custom made, rustic coffee table. I contacted Alan to see if He could accomodate me. He was more then happy too. He set to work on my table and was pleased to send me regular updates. I was VERY anxious to get it done and receive it. Even despite a family tragedy, the table was finished and was send along. I received it a short time later and not only am I quite pleased with the finished product, but it has gotten MANY compliments. Thank You Alan.

We absolutely love our table!!! We were able to work with the seller to customize the size and stain we wanted. He was very responsive and a good communicator. The table arrived very well-packaged and was relatively easy to assemble. Would highly recommend Barnwoodmagic if you are looking for a reasonably priced, well-crafted, beautiful, and rustic table. We look forward to many family meals and games around this table.
From Photography to tables in 5 easy steps
I was always interested in photography, even taking some college courses in that field. When digital came out I found a whole new way to take, print, enlarge, and display my work. I specialize in landscapes because that is what brings me pleasure. I love the outdoors and the opportunity it gives me in presenting my passion in forms other than words. Living in Kansas most of my life, I grew tired of hearing how flat and drab the state is. I set out to showcase the true beauty of the state in pictures and display them on this site for others to enjoy. I also love the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, and showcase them as well on this site. I soon learned to print my photos as well as take them. The one thing that bugged me was having to trim my 8 1/2" X 11" pictures to fit in an 8" X 10" frame. I started making 8 1/2" X 11" frames to end that practice. Several people asked me to make some for them and the rest is history. One thing leads to another. I started making the frames out of old barnwood that was well over 100 years old. There is a lot of wood in an old barn that just isn't suitable for frames. I began finding ways to put those beautiful pieces of lumber to use and bring joy to others. This started out with shadow boxes which led to wall units, which led to desks, and tables. Some of the wood I leave pretty much as is, sanding the wood lightly to remove splinters while leaving the patina in view. Others I plane the wood down to bring out the fantastic grain that lies beneath the 100+ years of standing out in the weather. Both look great, Generally I use Minwax Clear polyeurathane over the wood on all the tables and some of the larger wall units to protect the wood. The frames and smaller wall units I leave plain so that you can see the wood in its' natural state. Depending on your tastes, I bet I have something here that catches your fancy. Most things I just list as shipping to the USA. However I can ship most things anywhere. If you live in Canada, Australia, France, Russia or anywhere in between, just drop me line and we will work something out. As stated above, this wood has been exposed to the elements for a long period of time. Some times this presents a problem for people with allergies. The wood has picked up smoke from stubble fires as well as insect and other animals by-products, and all other types of smells and textures.. I clean as best I can without harming the natural beauty of the wood. Just want to warn those with allergies that some of this wood could have an adverse effect on allergies. Have a great trip through my shop and best wishes for a wonderful day to you. Al
