Makers gonna make
How did this all start? Out of boredom, as a hobby. That may be strange to say, but it's true. I grew up loving to draw, take pictures, sculpt, embroider things, etc. Somewhere along the line I stopped finding the time for these things. Then one day, I decided I was bored and wanted to discover a new hobby. I marched down to my local craft store and went up and down each aisle until I came across Polymer Clay.
I'd always loved to sculpt and create things out of playdough or sand, and this was a way to create a permanent piece that I could keep! So I bought a bunch of colors and went to work. This was how "Sookie's Critters" was founded. I made a ton of tiny little figurine's, magnets, miniature scenes, etc. I was in love with Polymer Clay.
I sold several pieces to friends and co-workers and eventually found Etsy. Sookie's Critters quickly evolved into Little Gray Fox as I moved from Polymer Clay to embroidery and felt. I still love making miniature scenes and foods, but I also love sewing sweet animals and other things from nature. I also have a passion for DIY. I share a lot of tutorials and tips on my blog.
I love to share my art with others and am so happy you found me!
