About littlegreenthings
a piece made just for you, by me.
With a gentle-on-the-earth approach in mind, each creation starts with reclaimed wood. The texture and hue of the wood hint at its history, and make each piece truly one of a kind. I draw my design on the wood's surface, then drill each hole by hand. The color is added next using oil pastels. Finally, I connect the holes by stitching the wood with needle and yarn to bring the image to life. In creating this process, I discovered a means of connecting not only with the world around me, but also with my authentic self. There's something inside of me that flows and feels perfectly balanced when I connect the dots of my ideas with yarn. My soul breathes and stretches and settles comfortably into who I am. My big, grand wish is this. . . when you see one of my pieces, may you be inspired to go out into the world, be your best and delight in the rich moments shared with all that you love. These unique pieces of eco-friendly wall art are meant to add fun and whimsy to your everyday life.
