About

Little Hands Studio Paper and Fiber Arts

I personally make everything that's in the shop, so this is what two little hands can make with the help of simple mechanical tools like scissors and needles. You will see knitting, crochet, embroidery, greeting cards and paper mache among other fiber and paper arts. The knitting is all designed and executed by me and each piece is unique. While I appreciate knitters and crocheters who like to knit garments for family and friends and for themselves, my interest lies in textile design. I like to study the qualities of fibers and create textiles that evoke moods and that open the mind to beautiful color and texture. Contemporary yarns are extraordinarily beautiful and I want to take as much advantage of that in creating unique textiles as I can using meticulous craftsmanship.

My paper arts, although eclectic, stem from years of working with paper in the form of books, and going from there I have expanded into collage work in fine art formats and in greeting card and other craft formats. I use papers from all over the world.

I always enjoy making one of a kind work and not repeating myself. I think that fine craft allows for continuous invention and innovation, and I hope you see that play out in what is offered here.

When I was 13 my seventh grade art teacher Miss Brunka encouraged me so much that I've been making art for almost 50 years. You will see examples of my favorite media here in the shop.

Shipping
***From ME to YOU!***
I create hand made envelopes, filler & labels from items that would otherwise go to the recycling center (or garbage). Reuse, repurpose, recycle, respect! This means not only will your item be handmade & one of a kind but your entire package will be! & I promise it will still be clean, sturdy & fun! Trust me! You'll love it! & please recycled the bits & bobs you can't use again after you enjoy it!

I ship out every TUESDAY & FRIDAY so don't be surprised if your goodies are there before you know it! Only shipping on these days keeps the cost of shipping down on my end, thus making sure my shipping is a great value to you!

The cost of shipping in my shop doesn't include insurance. If you would like to add insurance your order please let me know & I will adjust the price of your item BEFORE you buy it! If your items are shipped without insurance & they are lost in the mail, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES IF YOU DO NOT PURCHASE INSURANCE. I would suggest buying insurance on any order over $20.

I combine shipping. & if you purchase a very large number of items, I've even been known to give further discounts on shipping!
Refunds and Exchanges
***Uh Oh!***

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES. Sometimes the Post Office looses things, sometimes I goof up or you do & in most cases I will reship packages that have gone astray ONCE but that is at my own discretion (& depends on if your items are one of a kind).

I ship from the Post Office & always get a receipt so I know the date your item went out. & I can tell you what I know about contacting the P.O. about lost items.

I ship 99% of my items parcel post. There is no way to track these packages. Insurance & tracking on your package is an extra charge you need to request BEFORE you make your purchase.

I do not give refunds on lost packages, sorry. Pay Pal & Etsy's policy on lost orders states that if I can prove I shipped the item (i.e. have a receipt with the date & your zip code on it) that I am not liable to refund or reship. Lost packages make everyone sad & I am as upset about it as you are when it happens, but I can't loose money on these packages if you opt for no insurance.
